thetallpaul: Solid effort. I'm not sure why you are so down on yourself. Just reading this thread when you say you suck, or you don't consider yourself good, despite crushing NL5 to NL50. On the other little fallout we had you say you're a douche irl which given how quickly we sorted that out I find highly unlikely. I think I've read before you take motivation from it and I can certainly relate to that to an extent but please try to see the joy in the world and your situation. I went down that path until about 30 years old and ended up with some pretty heavy negative thought patterns.

To summarise: you are a bright, 21 year old athletic guy, living in the place in the world with the hottest women on the planet, supporting yourself by playing a game full time and winning (a game which very few people can actually beat).

Decent start of the month. I feel that the August is gonna be the game changer!

NL50 - only small pots so far, max was for 120bb's or so. None pfai's.

To sum up: I'm crushing all limits on both sites I play. I feel that I'm playing much superior poker than my opponents when I'm not on tilt. I'm able to put villains on quite accurate ranges. When I look back to beginning of year, my poker abilities has grown sky high compared to where I was then.

I can fucking make it!

Yess, finally won a decent pot! You could say it was a cooler, but villain played it so horrendously that I wouldn't write it off as a cooler if I was him. Not sure if he's a reg.

No, the flop stacking off is fine, but the preflop trap from blind into 3way pot...

Ooh nh man! Every get nervous for a second that he had A10? Seems way more likely than 2 pair/set in this spot when he starts shoveling money in.

Well, he shouldn't have A10o at all in that spot, A10s is mostly 3bet with occasional flats. If he has A10s/o,he probably has every AcXc as well, so there is no way my equity is below 50%.

But yeah, even considering that I was nervous, but what can I do? Smile

I don't think the KK flat is always bad, he was probably hoping for reraise from the UTG opener. If he cold 4bets from the blinds he might end up iso'd vs KK+ and folding out loads of stuff he beats. I've no idea how he sees you/player 1 in this spot. If Player 1 was an aggro donk, who'd never called anything but bet every time then flatting might not be the worst. I mean I'd be 4betting it because I'm scared of giving people good odds to outdraw me, or at least appear to given I know I fold way to much.

Once the hand goes like this he probably has to do this hoping you have combo draw, worse set or FD or if you have ATs or T9 that he can realise his equity with the redraw.

Or maybe he was a dumbass and felt it would be best to play his premium pair OOP in a multiway pot.

I'd be expecting a free roll for the villain with Tc9c I think, given the way I run.

@thetallpaul Your logic about UTG re-popping is a bit off. If fish don't fold after limp, they'll call like 90% of time. So not raising KK in that spot is criminal and losing stack was what he deserved for that move. Smile

Decent volume day at office! Ran quite bad, and was weird seeing myself down 200+. But hey, it's just 4 BI's and I didn't go on banana tilt when down so much (huge amount, like 1/3 of avg people salary here).

Oh snap, I thought the stacks seemed odd, I'd not noticed this was NL50. Stop moving up so fast! UTG limp and he flats your Iso? Oh yeah this is never ever a cooler! I though it was a 5x open, 3 bet and he would be cold 4betting!

Why do u barrell the turn here in this spot, what do u think folds that didnt on the flop? or does your thought process go a bit deeper in this spot?
Posted 8 years ago
@robstars7 I want to bet/bet/bet with my sets and 2p, so I must include fair share of draws in my betting range as well. Here I have like a billion outs on turn, so this goes to very top of my bluffing range.
Posted 8 years ago
Okay thanks for explaining , so u always barrell river here?

Think most his range doesn't fold tho, especially when all draws brick, usually makes players less likely to believe it story I find

Great thread/journey, really motivated me to kick things on. GL in the future dude Wink
