Hang on. Jef, you saying I need to earn $200 rakeback in a week before I get anything at all? Thats crazy. Basically means there is no RB at all for Micros? $200 is so many hands to play in a week.
Posted 9 years ago
Im not 100% but its something along those lines! Where as VC is the same network and you get flat 30% on everything!
Posted 9 years ago
I don't get any of this. Its enough to make me sack it off again and go back Stars where it is all nice and clear.

If you hit the chat with us box in bottom right of your screen they will sort everything for you within 5 minutes!

Yeah I tried and they were helpful but googled it and got the actual answer. If you rake under $50 per week you get 10% paid through their standard loyalty points. $50 to $100 and its 10% plus the 10% loyalty points. $100 to $200 and its 15% plus 10% and over $200 you get 20% plus the 10% (so 30% overall).

I'll definately be googling small print on these in future!

Lovely little afternoon session on Stan James. I didn't even run that well! Got set in vs AA on the flop once for stack and got coolered overpair vs TPNK on the flop but other than that just played well.

I liked my fold here as well! Position makes folding TP easy.

Oh I should clarify that cooler was me with the AA and him with Q7 on Q82r. Turned his 7.

Didn't last! Now getting coolered a bit and the software is murdering me. Timed me out with top 2 vs a fish in a 3bet pot with 1/3 stack already in, with turned straight mulitway and with AA flopping top set vs reg. Just like 888, software costing me BI after BI. So tilting. I know my internet isn't great but the difference between 888, SJ and how Stars handles a bit of lag is worlds apart.

Not sure if softer opposition is worth it when I'm fighting the site as well.

hi.
do you have the Microgaming timer? there is an ahk that can help you on that
Posted 9 years ago
Whats that then? Anything that could help with all the timing out would be awesome.

Hi thetallpaul,

Sorry to hear about the confusion you have been having with StanJames etc.

1.I would recommend you sign up to BetVictor. It's very clear and you can convert your points to cash at the rate of 30% at anytime. If you do not convert your points to cash before the end of the month, they will be converted automatically at the same rate.

Sign up to BetVictor here.

2. At StanJames you must rake $200 a week to be eligible for the 30% Rakeback. Raking $200 is different to receiving $200 in Rakeback.

3. On all these deals, players receive a deposit bonus, and other promotions on top of the Rakeback.

---

Overall, I understand these deals may seem a little foreign compared to Stars, but for cash game players (especially with the Rake Increase on Stars) you are much better off playing here.

If you need any help at all or have any further questions please do not hesitate to email me at Jamie@PokerVIP.com

As for the lag, I am not too sure, but that doesn't sound too hot - sorry about that.

Other options to try out instead of Stars, might be places like FTP, iPoker, OnGame, or if you're from the UK maybe a site like SkyPoker?

SkyPoker is very soft, but no zoom Sad

Its basically an ahk that presses the timer button for you giving extra seconds, I have it just message me your skype and ill send it to you. I have the .ahk file and the exe file if you do not have autohotkey installed.
Posted 9 years ago
I don't have skype. Wesendit or something like that work?
Posted 9 years ago
Thanks to Pedro for coming through for me on that script. I've not tried to set it up yet but I'll report back when I do.
Posted 9 years ago
Good fold with the JT Paul in the hand above, how did that script work for you?

Have you thought about getting a backup internet connection or does your mobile have 3g? You can always tether that to play poker, its worked for me in the past.

To be honest I've not set it up yet. I've been playing fewer tables to minimise the pressure on my shit internet and as a result the timeouts are not such a problem so far this week. Great to have it in reserve for if I run into issues again. BT are supposed to be coming to sort out fibre optic soon which will mean firstly better internet for pokerz but also I may get back into online gaming a bit again if its good enough as I used to really enjoy that. I've been away from COD for a couple of years though so would get smashed there. Think I will need to find a new game for that.

This is how its going so far on Stan James. Small profit plus about $40 of bonus and RB and using the 500 points that aren't cashable to sign up to some SNG's to add on. Overall I think its an OK site. Odd mix of aggro regs and super passive fish. Not sure if I like it enough to stay once my welcome bonus expires.

Also I'm watching a bit too much comedy at the moment so my mind is fried.

Mitch Hedberg is genius if you fancy a blast from the past.

One time, this guy handed me a picture of him, he said,"Here's a picture of me when I was younger." Every picture is of you when you were younger.

Today I had a major grind and lost 5 BI. I think though I played some of the best poker I've ever played. I got it in good loads and lost so was actually ahead on EV. As well as that I got a few sucky set ups QQ vs AA, KK vs AA, set over set, flush over flush, overpair vs rivered flush and set vs rivered GS with us both committed on the turn in both cases. I actually think today was the worst variance day I've ever had. To be expected I suppose as I played for nearly 5 hours which is the most I've done I think. Very happy with how I kept my focus and expecially how I handled the suck outs.

This was my favourite. Just laughed and carried on. Really pleased about that as its such a step forward. Not sure what the 3bet sizing was all about though pre. Must have been a misclick.
