97% equity on the flop lol unreal hand. You get those hands that are so bad all you can do is laugh! I lol'd at your. 3-bet size.

Variance is a fucker to get used to. Now You have an upswing to look forward too CoolCash

Yeah the 3bet was weird I only noticed when I put the hand in. At the time I thought I'd bet properly. I think on SJ I do it occasionally where I click the wrong preset sizing button and hit min when I wanted 3x or whatever.I also have a problem with sizing a raise then clicking call by mistake. Maybe should get into the habit of typing the amounts on every hand but seems a hassle.

Sadly now I'm tilting. I'm on an incredible losing streak. Stan James regs are exploiting me as well. I'm getting 3bet 35% of my opens now and I never have any cards. I know they don't either but every attempt to stand up to them has had me crushed. Its a shame as I handled it great yesterday mentally but now I've wasted a weekend on this and have nothing good to show for it.

If you can see the fish at the table then its you. And it is me.

Oh well.

35% 3bet? what? you should start opening tighter ranges against them and 4betting them wider if that's the case or at the very least call with strong hands IP to stop them from doing it.

Great bluff with 76o, not sure about the flop and turn but I love the river.

I took some time off as recommended. Came back refreshed and renewed and playing as I was before tilt set in. I think I'm playing the best poker Ive ever played right now. That little spell in the middle where I tilted I actually think was true downswing and I just had a horrible run. I was opening tighter as tilt makes me less monkey and more turtle. I was calling even tighter and just getting smashed everytime. Some bad folds at the end when I statrted to get serious Monsters Under the Bed Syndrome and 1 crying call when I knew I was beat but the run to set it up was just getting outdrawn.

Since then variance is still not my friend but I'm still happy with my play. In many ways this is my dream come true graph. My bell curve is also all below average. So I'm not hitting cards or winning races or getting made hands to hold up but I'm still ekeing out a small profit. I'd rather this than fluking a big profit with a huge downward yellow line.

Omg that EV line. Just hang tight Smile your graph shows that you are not an awful player, but just unlucky at the moment

Meh.

At least I won a flip there at the end. I still think I'm playing my best though. Still making mistakes but hey, who isn't? Keep learning anyway and soon the swing will swong.

Still crushing the game for boocoo Sklansky bucks. Real money is also turned back into small profit for this little run. Just keep trucking and playing like this though and I'll be delighted.

OMG!

Sick graph there man. Nice that you can handle with no problem donws like this.

Keep up the good work! Smile

that's a huge EV diff in such a small amount of hands, well least you know you're making the correct choices. Just wake out around about 10-30k hands and you should meet it somewhere in the middle... I hope!

Got any plans for Xmas Paul?

Yeah I'm pretty happy with how I'm playing at the moment. Redline is loads flatter and I don't feel like I'm getting run over so much so the weasel videos I htink are helping with my defending lines. I'm enjoying using aggression more. Still loads of work to do but at least its fun playing this style at the minute. Being under EV is actually quite refreshing. It means if I suck out I don't feel bad as its just regression to the mean.

Xmas wise lots of family stuff. I got 2 weeks off near enough which is awesome. Not sure if I'll play that much but will see.

Whats going on in your world?
Posted 9 years ago
Not much for me buddy, just doing a bit of work and trying to lose a bit of my belly while getting food. Check your PM, you forgot to send me your address lol.

You should defo be banging out some serious hours over the xmas holidays, games will be the best ever, then take a week or two off in the new year IMO.

Any good changes regarding the graph in the past 2 days? Laugh

Yeah a little bit actually. I came to the end of my time on Stan James though as the rakeback there was very bad. I needed to rake more than I usually would to get any rakeback at all so once the starter bonus ended (or at least I went as far as I could) it was time to move on.

The traffic was pretty bad but OK at peak UK times and the standard seemed soft to me but it wasn't worth the grind there for now. I may yet go back though. The killer though was that the cashout rate on Stan James was so much lower than the buy in rate at Paddy Poker where I have now set up thanks to a 50% deal offered by Ivan on the chat. This had no minimum so is a result for a rec player like me as I might actually get something! The cost though of the transfer was awful. Cashed out $500 and got £300. Paid that in and got $460. 4BI's for nothing. What a joke. Can't keep cutting and running so if that one doesn't stick I'll be going back to Stars and staying there. This bonus/RB whoring is so difficult to a newbie.

I wouldn't worry about the rakeback for now mate, just work on your game get it to a decent level then look for RB- no point grinding your b game tired or grinding a break even style for RB as you'll find that just ends up covering losses or keeping you wiht a BR to play the stakes you currently are. Sure RB is nice but if you could choose between 6 months of RB making $1k but not improving 6months of hard work on your game make $700 but in a stage to then grind for more and more and make 3 times as much in the future which would you pick?

Not started well on Paddy. Got it in with top set vs bottom set and he runner runner flushed me. Won a flip though to make some back. Just getting killed though. Top 2 vs set, middle set vs top set, overpair vs rivered 2 pair. Not looking nice so far.

Or maybe I'm just not very good. Hard to tell. There will be no return to NL4 though. If this BR is lost then I'm out. Its too boring to play there now and I think I'd level myself too much or play too hard to 'outplay' people if I went down. Maybe I'd have a break and come back to it but not fun for me right now.

Often people mistake run bad for bad play and run good for good play- try to rate your play not results then you can have a better estimate where you are at Smile
