I just don't know. AKhh I suppose I beat, KK+, some two pairs, 66. But would any of those take this line? I thought like 99-JJ, JTs, T9s might play like this.

Yeah I agree more with your second range. Looks like a fold to me. It would a crazy play if villain decided to turn his hand in to a bluff on that board!! Overpairs I thought would check, just too.ncub beats them and they might be good at showdown.

Another good one.

Certainly make turn bigger, around 4.8$ and to his raise I would just jam it to not get to such an awkward river spot ever. As played call river since not really any 910 or A10 in his range, only hand that makes some sense would be middle set but I don't really ever see him checking turn there... Maybe occasionally very very weirdly played flushdraw+gutshot but just no.

What was the result?

Also on that set of 77 hand earlier, just call on the flop. NN to raise on such super wet board and increase variance dramatically when you could already be crushed, instead you can just call and try to hit your full house or fold to a bad card and a bet saving some roll.

Interesting. I tend to raise more on wet boards as more can call me off and more draws he can put me on plus too mnay cards I hate. I call dry boards and raise value a lot on wet ones.

Dunno what he had in the 44 hand I folded. Basically everytime I call anything they have the stone cold nuts. Keep running into quads and top set. I get away cheaply most of the time as I am so weak and passive but then I just did this:

Biggest pot I've ever played and biggest ever lost. Sucks.

As a result my NL25 shot looks like this:

I'm nearly at my stop loss for the shot of 4BI and then back to NL10 to try and rebuild some of my roll and confidence. I think that I might need to play an even more value heavy game here than at NL10. Or maybe I'm just getting steam rollered by variance.

With the last few $ of the shot I'm going to try and record a video for Jon to look at.

Problem with raising more on wet boards and floating dry boards is that you won't have enough bluffs in your range when you look to valueraise and get stacks in on drier textures, and on the other hand on wet boards you have to play more of your draws aggressively even when IP(which I think is incorrect). If I understood you correctly.

It should be balanced, I would look to bluffraise drier textures sometimes against the aggressive kind and more often against tight players who I know cbet alot and would fold even tpgk.

Floating those wet flops headsup with value hands to see a good turn can net you alot of ev, and also disguises your hand well.
Again I'm not saying do this all the time, has to be balanced and know your opponent.

Biggest pot I've ever played and biggest ever lost. Sucks.

If it helps at all, the biggest pot I ever played in online, I actually had TT as well, I out flopped the guy set over set, but he rivered a one-outer for quads, hahaha.

Not the biggest pot I have played but in PLO50 had set of aces vs set of queens all-in OTT and ofc the river had to be a queen. Almost cried

I mean how good of a spot can you get in that game and not win it lol

Nope no joy, couldn't get a video I lost it all in 10mins. I got absolutely owned in a 3bet pot with OESD that I missed vs a guys TPTK. Lost most of it there. Rest was just folding and folding.

I'm going to take another break I think. BR is shattered. I was clearly just on a 20k hand sun run that has now ended. Something about trying to do a video that makes me play terrible.

I would switch over to regular tables after your break. Much easier money over there

I know, I was too a zoom addict and not a day goes by without me craving that shit. But really you should try... Join microgaming network through here for the uberfish + great rakeback and no possibility of zooming ^^

I tried all that at the start of this journey but the software annoys the crap out of me, RB deals confused me too much and ultimately I don't have time. I have 2 kids and full on job so Zoom is the only way I can have a decent session. Otherwise by the time I have sat a few of tables and figured out what's what its time to move on. Also I find that I get tilted easier on reg tables.

I don't know. See how I feel in a few days.

Well if you insist, at least have like 40bin bankroll for the zoom swings. I've had +-8bin in just one session alone playing tag

Zoom is for the rakeback grinders who are after a great volume and the fish there dont play their usual crappy starting hands they otherwise would.

No its good advice and I'll take half of it! I'm going to stop Zoom again. Go back to NL10 reg tables. Still think I will stick with Stars as I signed at Stan James before and hated that. Paddy Power was OK so might play there again but I found it tough to get games going there. 888 disconnections were appalling so never playing there again. I have Full Tilt account as well but don't see why it exists. Its just Stars with a worse skin.

Thanks for the input I hope I didn't come across like a dick. I was just hurting a bit from losing a big chunk of my roll so quick.

Try playing 6 or 8 full ring tables, its easier
Posted 9 years ago
Should have just gone to bed. Played reg tables. Trips into trips top kicker, trips into rivered nut flush, JJ into AA BTN vs BB in 4bet pot on low rainbow board.

Will need to be a long break now to remove the accumulated tilt. I amaze myself with my inability to do anything well. I need a new hobby as poker just leads to self hatred I think. Hopefully see you soon, once I have regained a degree of perspective.

BR now $600.

Ignore that last whingy bit. I didn't lose that much. I really do overreact when I lose.

HAHA! Brah I did the same tonight Wink Was down I think 5bi in 150 hands half tilt hald coolers and I was almost frothing at the mouth :')

Chilled out took headphones out and commentated and all of a sudden spots began making a lot more sense. Made a couple of fairly simple folds I wouldn't have before then stacked a couple of guys with set v TPWK and then I went runner runner straight in 3bp Wink But overall only down about 2bi in a session I did run AK into AA and ran maybe 2 bi below EV sooooo happy days Laugh

When I have these sessions I really think- what is it that makes me lose the most money... is it my game? NO!!! It's my mental game and probably same for most! Today I probably spewed $50 (2bi) in about 5 mins through tilt... that is about 2k hands grinding which takes over 3 hours... The really cool thing is, is that most people still are winning with the tilt so don't solve it... when you begin to solve it you begin to realise just how many bb it actually adds up to Laugh

Stay calm and cool brah, the downswings just make you realise you aren't there yet and give you a good opportunity to see how far you have come! A new low is probably higher than you would have thought you would ever reach months ago so keep at it Smile
