100nl Q9

Posted 8 years ago

I am Player 8 with Q9

Not sure on whether we should bet flop or check back? Both players are fishy and I don't expect either to fold any draw or pair.

If you say bet and we make it 9bb, what is your play if raised to 22b~

pre there is no need to make it $4. You can make it $3 or even limp behind. Q9o is not a hand we are going to make laodssss of money with against a fish.

Flop I think is a pretty clear bet, and if they raise to 22 I snap call, 13bb to win 45bb or so with a sd is an easy call.

I don't see the problem with making it $4 for consistancies sake. The isolation is obviously borderline but it is strong enough for value imo, a fish is going to call with worse.

I would still bet the flop. Even though neither player is folding a pair or draw their range should be wide enough that your combined implied odds plus fold equity make it +EV.

If we get raised from $9 to $22 then I would still call for the draw. That said, do we really need to c bet so much in a spot where villain is so inelastic in his continuing range?

As for the preflop, the difference between 3$ and 4$ is very very small when playing against the recreational player.

I'd still bet this flop. You have solid equity, implied odds and even if you're not folding any pair there are some better hands you can fold out (Kx, Ax). Also, it's going to be fairly easy to call that 22$ bet that you mention given the fact that you're in position.
