So I really hate JJ and need not to, but I just never know what to do with them in a spot like this or most for that matter, unless I bink a set.

First, can we just 4bet this, doesn't seem like that's so good. I am MP and they are SB, so I have to believe the 3 betting range here is fairly strong. So what would I be doing 4 bet folding or 4 bet stacking off which just seems kind of spewy.

So I get a flop that is actually not so bad for me and call the flop, but I always know in the back of my mind what if they double barrel or triple barrel. IDK, calling down 3 streets with JJ seems suicide, but they could have Ax with a broadway or a rag suited and just be double barreling me trying to rep the stuff I am pissing my pants about.

Seems this is always the problem with JJ. If you get the lower flop and they go aggro on you and feels gross calling them off. Obviously if an A, K, or Q hits the flop or turn you feel like you are beat.

Fold seems nitty but just couldn't see continuing to the agression. If I call the turn I have less than a PSB left behind, so then what, just fold?

4 betting JJ at these stakes without reads isn't going to work very often. Even though people will 3 bet wide they're just not stacking off light enough in general.

Flop call is standard. Turn is debatable.

In a full ring game from these positions a lot of the time you're just set mining with JJ against their range, here in 6 max we can probably call once more due to the number of draws and the more aggro dynamic.

If I do call the turn I'm still folding on a blank river though as it's highly unlikely he will 3 barrel AK or Tx

Bloody JJ. It always does this. I remember a Nanaoko video I watched about JJ (full ring but it stuck) and overvaluing it in 3bet/4bet pots. "So I 3bet to like 10 carrots, because, you know, fuck, Jacks is a big hand".

Stayed with me, and maybe due to that I play JJ pretty cautiously. Definitely calling here with JJ. 4betting it would be setting its value on fire I think. BTN vs BB say different story. As played I'd call flop and fold turn if I was playing my best I think. If I was not playing well I'd call turn and then be folding too much, or convincing myself that the spades bricked so I should call. Neither of which I like.

I would not 4bet JJ preflop here for reasons already mentioned. Later positions like BU v SB/BB I'd be 4bet/call it off but not here.

I also thin that the turn shanges nothing much from the flop and we can call this again. As mentioned, I wont be calling a 3rd barrel, they're not doing that with air or an overplayed AK enough for my liking.

Flop call is not standard here despite what people might think.

There is chance this guy is literally just 3betting QQ+. Even if we are lucky and occasionally 3bets AK and Axs combos, there is no guarantee he is going to fire stuff like AKo on the flop. It doesn't take a large amount of work with an equity calculator to figure that we are usually crushed at these limits.

Remember that when opening PP's from UTG it's basically just a setmine. It's still a setmine even if we flop an overpair and we can be folding. It's obviously completely different when we are in LP since we'd nearly always peel at least one on the flop.
