20NL: Deep in 3b pot (river betsize)

Posted 6 years ago

Villain is a reg and 3bets me a ton this session. I have not stood up against him, except for calling a 3b with 77 CO vs SB where I flopped a set. He bet J76r and I raised. He called and check/folded the 8 turn.
He bets big OTT, but with this hand I get odds to call and I don't want to raise and have to get it in if he ships. Correct?

OTR I think his hand is something like AQ/AK or maybe AT? I think he should still valuebet a set here? AA/TT that is.

What size would you make it OTR?

I don't expect to check any flush here unless you are river aggro ,you can shove for value ,you got less then one pot size bet ,maybe he got some Ah blocker and make hero call ,you want to put pressure on him .

Hero doesn't have less than pot left? Hero has 30 left and there is 22 in the middle?

So yes villain usually has a hand like AK AQ here - he might or might not check AA TT or AT OTR - that really depends on him - you obviously want to bet here - I wouldn't shove it for Overpot though - I would bet something in between 10-15$. So around the half pot mark.

Check raise turn and call it off or check raise turn and jam any river at all.

Villain can call you with so little on the river and if you get it in on turn you will have plenty of equity however most won't jam on you and will often call/fold or fold.
