How did I play this hand and should I be calling on the river?

Opponent seems reasonably tight with no major history.

I think my play up to the river is pretty standard. I like check calling the flop as we have a very strong with some showdown value unimproved. I think it's okay to x raise and stack off on flop but we usually get it in against sets+.
I think x raising the turn works better than the flop as we can rep more value and it set's us up for value bet/ bluff on river.

On the river I decided to fold as he's repping a very strong range with the triple barrel. I found it hard to put him on many bluffs as a lot of his semi bluffs now have showdown value with pairs, and we block some flush draws. On the other hand, our hand is rarely as strong as top pair 2nd kicker given the run out and the way we played it.

So should I be calling the river?

Played fine, I don't think we should x/r flop ever with K high fd as we get it in v sets and nfd so just x/c. OTT we could x/r but x/c again looks ok. When he unloads OTR I think you do well to fold here, not many triple barrel bluffs going on and not on this board also, most pair + draw hands check so its only FD that bluff and most of those have a pair by now also, so probably played perfect with the river fold.

Like your line and I'd fold river too. At these stakes you will rarely see a bluff on the river.

I sometimes like donking on these boards to balance my draw and nutted hands like sets. Don't think it matters too much at 25nl but something to think about.

Pre: I would often be three betting this type of hand vs a button open but I don't hate calling either.

Flop: If we had the betting initiative after three betting I would be firing myself here, as played though I like the check call.Check raising isn't absurd and we will get a decent number of folds by taking this line but I think check calling will be better.

Turn: Something I've been toying around with recently is donking turn in these kinds of spots, I've found it has been working quite well and I've found people don't seem to know how to respond to this kind of line. Check calling is obviously fine though.

River: This is kind of gross, the only thing we're ahead of is other flush draws really and the problem here is that so many flush draws are blocked, villain can have AJs, weak Axs, all other reasonable combos are either 2 pair or straights so we're not even beating them. I think folding here is going to be better than calling overall, just sucks that he has one of these exact combos we beat.

If villain is tight then folding is fine. He's not going to be 3 barreling worse value ever. He also has zillions of two pair combos plus sets 76 QJ making it fairly trivial imo.

If you'd have spiked the K on the flop and he barreled all 3 streets it's an easy laydown, it's just a psychological trick that we bink top pair at the last minute and feel we should be calling.
