3BP overpair facing turn openjam

Posted 7 years ago

Pre and flop super standard, OTT i didnt really think but i guess this is a fold, he bets so big i can just call the absolute best hands here which is TT, what do you think?

In general i think i tend to spew in pots like this, how would you go about deciding a 3bp stack off range postflop? Its different from SRP right?

Their turn shove makes no sense whatseover and 100bb I'm snapping this all day. If you had 77 or 22/TT you would bet small to keep your range of JJ+ in and perhaps even AK.

180bb with their double pot shove, I hate to put people on such narrow ranges but I'm folding as I expect to see 7x or a boat almost always, can see a fish or bad rec play their hand like this.

Yeah i agree, thanks for your reply.

Also in retrospect i think in theory since he bets this big we dont need to "defend" as wide which make this fold easier next time.

Yup. You have to be 'right' relatively often to call the overbet shove in a deep stack situation. I agree that this is a call all day 100bb deep but, in this particular spot, I'd get away from it

If you 3 bet 78s and 1010 in this spot preflop than it is fold, but if you do not have that hands in your 3bet range then it is call. you have to call sometimes and aces become top of your range
