5NL - JJ

Anon. 4Bets at these stakes are usually KK+, sometimes QQ+/AK. Facing a 4Bet here against a short stack I'm guessing it's better to call and hope to hit?

When you 3bet JJ you should already know what you're doing if you face a 4bet.

Your plan should always be to either go all in or call. If your plan is to fold, then you would be much better off flatting JJ than 3 bet/folding.

In this spot against a 50bb stack, I think it's a pretty easy all in.

As played I would go with it, but my standard against a half stack is to call pre flop.

If villain is really bad and full stacked then a 3 bet for value is obviously fine, but it always feels dirty getting JJ in pre even against half a stack.

Vs the stack size there is nothing we can do apart from to get it in once we 3Bet.

We can flat pre here if we do not want to get it in which might be a nice line to add in, in the future.

AK AQ we have 55% QQ-AA is 20% and TT we have 80%.

you need to put in $1.93 more into a pot that will be $4.83 so you need 1.93/4.83 = ~40% equity to stack.

If 40% of the time he has QQ-AA and 55% of the time he has AK AQ (more likely as more combos though maybe AQ doesnt 4b here) and 5% TT or some other pair / weird hand he shouldn't have then our equity against this range is = 55*.55 + 80*.05 + 20*.4 = 42.25%

If these numbers feel right it is close to a breakeven shove. If he is more likely to be QQ-AA then it is a fold or AK-AQ / TT then it is a shove.
