5NL - KK (facing river bet)

Posted 8 years ago

Anon. Facing river bet here, should we be calling these fairly often since it's now less likely he's holding an A? I think if he checks to me on the turn, I'd be betting at least half pot, then likely firing again on the river thinking that it's less likely he's holding an A. So if I think about it the other way around when we're doing the betting in a pot control situation like this, does that mean that we should be calling?

Give your flop check and the ace on the river (like you said it's very good for us) I would be calling for this bet size.

I'm expecting to see Ax sometimes and random bluffs/PP turned into bluffs quite a lot as well.

Given the way the hand played out and the missed FD, I'm always calling here.

yes, river is easy call

I think if he is a tight player utg he will have a lot of As in his range so would that not merit a fold. Some other aggro guys I would call. Kinda player dependent. Neither option really wrong.

Why the big 3bet PF? I would usually go for .45 IP or .50 OOP

I would call river as we showed weakness checking on flop
