Anon. Here's a spot I'm confused about. I realize these weak leads are with weak hands or draws and if we raise the flop, they're either going to call or fold (less often 3B). So my thinking here is calling flop and turn here to try and get some value for my hand, then try and get some additional smaller value on a safe river. However, I think because of the flop, I should've raised the flop/turn to try and get some additional value? I don't quite know which line is best to take in these spots?

I would have considered the donk as a check and just raised it on every street. Hit the pot button on every street, they most likely have a weak holding or draw.

Versus these min bets on boards like this just raise 4X and basically charge draws and worse hands to call.

We will get a ton of lead calls and we can just keep getting money into the pot. Just slow down on bad run outs.

So many draws on that flop texture, raising is mandatory. You will see this with many non top pair type hands as well that won't fold for 2 streets.

Like Havie said, these min bets should be looked upon as checks, and you would never think of checking KK on such a flop.

As Harvie mentioned, I try to treat these min bets as checks!

I hate these types of villains though. Happens all too often at low limits. Say we had A high, should we be calling down seeing as we're getting a great price every street in the hope to hit an A? Or even be good with our A high vs. missed draws?

You need to get raising on the flop. You can just consider the DB as a check. You're giving free cards to weak hands on quite a wet board. You can get value for them chasing the draws nicely. Some fishier players try to use the min bet as a way to choose the bet sizing and see cheap turns/rivers, as like a blocker bet.

For a minute there I figured the hand had been misnamed and that we were playing limit poker.

Super ultra standard fist-pump snap-raise on the flop here for value. Fire turn and river for value on most runouts if called. As played, assuming we call the flop for some unknown reason we should be raising the turn for value and firing river.

Definitely raise. We don't want to let him set the price here. Min bet also looks super weak, we nee to be getting value for such a monster.

I often raise these donk bets with nothing so if I've got KK then I'm definitely going to be pumping some money in the middle and barreling as well. For sure raise the turn, we don't get big hands often enough so we need to get as much as we can from villain when we do imo. Value bet them to death.

I would just raise flop to the amount i would Cbet in this so about 4bbs. Definitely not barreling on all turns if called. Lots of cards my range will need to slow down on. Any board pair, any A, any heart.
