AJ76 PLO4 full house facing river raise

Posted 6 years ago

This hand was played at plo4 on Unibet so this is the best I can do for hand histories. UTG is very weak and passive, SB is a bad reg, not really one to spazz but prone to taking weird lines and being fishy, dosen't change his screen name.

I'm basically betting for value but not sure what to make of his raise. I don't think he'd have AAxx in his range, especially with him not raising pre and my blocker. Still lose against TT and JJ though.
Not sure if calling or folding is best here, gotta put in 1.5 euro to win 3.
If I give him a range like this I'm right enough, plus he might be doing this with some random KcQx once in a while. Any thoughts?

My hand is AJ76, I have 108bb sb has 175bb.

UTG calls 1 bb, CO folds, BTN folds, SB calls 0.5bb, Hero checks

Flop is 7710
Pot is 3bb, Hero bets 1.5bb, UTG folds, SB calls 1.5bb

Turn is J
Pot is 6bb, Hero bets 4.5bb, SB calls 4.5bb

River is A
Pot is 15bb, Hero bets 11.25bb, Sb raises to 48.75bb

Who was villain? There's a few I'd be snap calling Laugh

Knowing player tendencies on the unibet plo4, and with a few draws getting there I'd be calling

Bluemoon something, can't remember exactly Laugh definetly seen him a few times before, with the blue planet avatar.
I did call the raise but wasnt happy about it.

Think you can take away T7 J7 from that range and you will get a more reasonable range. A7 for me is very player dependent since this is just a bluff catcher.

I think you are right with him not having AA very often and Not all JJ should call flop so they are heavily discounted.

I disagree that this is necessarily a bluff catcher, people can absolutely just be doing this with worse full houses on occasion. I'm not saying they should, but its 4PLO, people aren't going to be doing things that are correct. It's not an amazing spot but as you said, it's hard for villain to show up with many of the hands that are beating us so I go ahead and call here. Against someone we perceived as competent but straight forward it becomes a fairly trivial fold though.
