V is a blessed soul, 38/5 over 170 hands. Only 14% postflop agg%. Flop is relatively nice and safe, and I'm pretty happy to play for stacks, I don't see this guy laying down TP. Turn changes nothing but his c/r for some reason gives me pause, and suddenly I don't like my plan as much. I guess I could have checked back the turn but that seemed pretty nitty.

Vs this player I'm looking to bet all 3 streets for value. Once he makes a post flop raise I think I'm done.

Against this player we may as well be looking at a $5NL hand. We know he's super passive, and these guys whether it's a single raised or 3 bet pot, don't like raising less than 2 pair.

Do you see him doing this with AQ for some obscure reason? It doesn't add up to the usual patterns. Even if he's making an out of character bluff, it won't be at the required frequency needed to continue imo.

Its such a weird and unorthodox spot to raise and given its so rare i expect this to be a set most of the time so strangely enough i think i fold.. Take a note though.. Its ok to give players credit in these spots and make a exploitable fold at least once.

I think the biggest question you have to ask yourself is whether they will over play AQ here which I think not for a 38/5. Seems they would be calling down with that hand as they would be scared you have KK-AA.

I hate to fold but at FR against this player type I think it is the correct play.

I think vs a random player whose stats make him look like a fish just call it off. I don't think we can fold a hand this strong and players like this do show up with the weirdest hands and bluffs.

Tx guys. Baluga was what came to mind, but since I'm not sure even pfr 88, it meant I was putting him on such a narrow range of QQ, maybe 88. I didn't at the time, but I prob should add weirdly played AA and KK as well.

Strat if he was one of the 38/30 types, I'd agree he can do this with 99, A2, random crap. But I think passive pf players like to see flops and will just c/c with TP, but they can't help but blow their load when they hit.

Half pot bets are definitely good. If villain is on the cally side then your sizes are great too. Had you taken a smaller bet like resulting in being raised to 80 over 20 on the turn I'd say fold. Using the larger sizings your odds are much better so I'm not sure. It's a stupidly strong line by villain who seems really passive, is there a chance you have ~21% equity?

Meh I'd probably end up folding but I would be really unhappy about it.

Tx guys. Good points about the betsizing. I could have gone 1/2, 1/2, river shove, still getting the river call with TP and I get away cheaper if this happens.
