Without any reads on Villain I think the raise on the turn is not the highest EV move. You have a very strong hand but if you get raised you actually have to fold most of the times.


Obviously Villain is below par pokerwise. In my recap of the hand I will neglect that and assume that villain is a competent player.
You need a ton of fold equity (you risk 4.20 in order to win 7,25) for this move to be directly profitable (55%). Regarding the board texture you fold out complete air and 9x and Jx hands. Maybe you get KQ or AQ to fold but in general you fold out worse hands.

His calling range consists of lots of Axc, some Tx and some 2pair. You are already behind (55/45).

His raises should contain only the strongest hands, and some occasional bluffs with AcXc or some Tx. But after a raise you generally should be waaayyyyy behind. Even your outs look rather bad now. 8 outs against overpairs and 2pair, sets or better Q. Against KT you have 4 outs to split.

After all there is no need to turn your hand into a bluff here.

Your equilab range is way off. You have given him all Axss not AcXc. You have given him hands that he wouldnt/shouldnt play like this like A9 KJ QT AJ. In this spot vs normal 2 barrel range we are behind for sure. We dont have enough EQ to stack off. Either we can just call and take our EQ or turn it into a bluff to get better hands to fold like KK AA.

"So before I saw the villains hand i worked out i had 9 outs, so we have 18% if we are behind, but if we run it 3 times on GG I would probably have more like 25% (I think)"

What do you meen by this? Your EQ is always the same no matter how many times you run it.

Above advice ws spot on, I only want to recommend you ask yourself what you hoped t accomplish with the turn raise.

Fold out better hands? Almost never gonna happen.
Get worse to call? Very few combos of that. (I think we got pretty lucky with this V.)
