Think I would probably bet turn, but only because, at my stakes, turn probes are pretty much in auto profit, cuz in general people don't protect their check-back range enough. Not sure what better hands you are folding out. AK and AQ are probably not folding and can't see any PPs, that he would 4bet, folding. So it would probably have to be 2 streets.

Check raise is an interesting option. You could potentially do that with 88 and T9 so maybe AsXs would make decent x/r semi bluffs. If he has some kind of Ax it will certainly put him in a tough spot. I think you would probably lead those though.

Not really sure I like the pre flop call oop with AJs, going to get beaten up a lot of boards esp Axx.

Turn lead or c-r both sound nice, I like the c-r because they can't really have a nutted hand as it would have bet the flop.

Standard for me is to bet the turn. Think it has higher EV then c/r since he wont bet the turn so often with the hands he checked back flop with.
