Pre he goes big vs UTG open. I could obviously 4bet but was getting smashed and felt I wanted to try and keep him involved vs getting a fold here to a 4bet or getting stacked by AA. As I said in the other hand I was out of A game and in passive mode as they always folded or had me crushed it seemed.

Once the flop comes I realise why a flat is so stupid. I'm still behind AA but now QQ and maybe even TT have me smoked. JJ is never cbetting that flop and probably never 3bet pre anyway so his range is AK/AQ/AJ maybe and stuff that already beats me. Call hoping he has AK. Diamond on the turn is no help to me as I have the Kd so I block all the turned FD that might continue. So when he goes big I feel like this is too nut heavy and make the fold.

I think his 3bet sizing is ok being a little larger as you are 140bb's deep.

If I'm not willing to get it in due to reasons you gave, I'd personally prefer flatting IP as opposed to OOP. Even when I'm getting crushed, I always know that getting KK in PF 99.9% of the time is the right play, so I force myself to do it.

We're only behind to QQ & TT - 6 combos + AA (QT & 33 aswell of course but doubt he 3bets them PF vs. UTG), whereas AK, AQ & AJ are all there - 48 combos... Also KJ, KQ & QJ can be 3bet as a bluff within a linear range... These could cbet that flop

Something to note is that villain is playing nearly 50% of hands (potential fish), over a small sample it mightn't mean too much but he could be 3betting and blindly firing the flop with hands he shouldn't such as any pocket pair too

Seeing as it's a rainbow flop, I would call like you opted instead of raising to keep his range wide... 7d blank comes on the turn so I would call down and be willing to GII. It seems like you were calling the flop just to hit a K on the turn =/ Any other broadway card would have been a scare card, so on a blank, I would personally go with it and expect to see villain with AQ here a lot. We are under-repped so I'd say his big bet on the turn could definitely be AQ. He shouldn't be afraid of AA/KK at all from how you played the hand.

If you don't want him to fold pre 4 bet an amount he will call that makes playing all flops pretty much a straightforward shove for you. Being out of position here it will be difficult for you to realise your equity and people often do this (elect to flat and be "tricky") then get lost and revert to a confused check call line. Just 4 b pre and save yourself the headache.

Against this player I'm happy to still stack it off being deep. A guy like this will often be capable of being in auto stack mode with QQ+ AK.

As played I think I like the fold with his big bet size. I would expect him to barrel smaller with KJ AK. If he makes it smaller I'm more likely to call but still concerned about his tight looking 3 bet range, and of course we opened UTG.

I am almost always 4betting in this situation. We're nice and deep and should be aiming to get as much of the money in the post as quickly as we possibly can here. We have a small sample on villain but his stats look very unusual, and he seems like he will more than likely be a bad player given his large VPIP and large gab between VPIP and PFR.

Pre: As mentioned, I am looking to 4bet here. Probably somewhere in the region of $2.50. 4betting here not only is for value on this hand but also to balance my 4bet bluffing range.

Flop: As played, I think I probably call. Note here though that if the pot is a 4-bet pot we are in a relatively easy GII situation on this board.

Turn: After we have under-repped our hand so much I don't think folding should ever cross our minds. You have played it extremely passively and villain can easily just be trying to push you off your hand and can also be value betting Qx. We block KQ but AQ seems quite likely here. Raising turn would be overplaying our hand so I think I just call here and check-call the majority of rivers also.
