I would play it the same way, not too happy when we get minraised in mw pot but we block mid/top set, really we only lose to 66. We could also just shove the flop but there are not many (if any) scare cards for us on turn also. nh

Preflop: Standard iso.

Flop: Good sizing, you're blocking a lot of hands so you could make an argument for going a bit lower but at the same time NL2 is full of players with static ranges so you might as well charge them a good amount. I'd also call vs. raise. Given the board texture and how many hands you're blocking even somewhat passive players will be polarized in this spot and I'm not going anywhere with top two. At the same time with no FD of the board letting villain go with his aggressive line is better than going over the top.

Turn: Given the SPR and our initial assumption the turn plays itself. Of course, he'll have 66 sometimes but unless I have an air-tight read that villain is super passive and he's not spazzing I'm not going anywhere.

V limp/caller very well played imo.
When I played nl2 I would be getting the money in on the flop if I could here with top two. I have 7 hands on villain so no info if he does this with a set/bluff/TP/JT or whatever, just ship it and if they fold so beit.
The turn card wouldn't come into play with me here because of that, but as it went, nice easy push imo I'm never folding now. Smile

On a none flush draw flop I play it this exact same way. If the board had a flush draw i would pile it in on the flop.

You played it very well.

Prefered to just call vs miniraise - near no hands except 66 TT QJ (but given preflop if he has any of those hands it prolly would be 66) make sense to play like that, and i think that set would raise stronger - this texture hits raising range OOP kinda well imo. Anyway not sure if i shall take any of those into consideration because like for me his line make no sense at all.

So prefere to call miniraise since ship will force him to fold his bluffs and let him barrel l8er streets.

Show up with K9

I like it. I'm a big fan of just flatting the flop raise on this board to keep in as many of his bluffs as possible. On the turn there's nothing to do but put the rest in. I'd expect to see 66, but also a whole bunch of Kx, Tx, and the many QJ, Q9, J9, 98, 97, 87 draws out there. Considering you're behind only one of those it makes for a fun spot.
