NL25 QQ

Posted 10 years ago

Pre is standard and go multiway. Bet flop, going small as dry board and I want Tx, and overs to call. Turn is not ideal but maybe some AJ, QJ, KQ, 98, JT especially as I don't block Qh with FD that can do this but also a fair bit of TT, 5x as well.

Call turn and would call off if like 4c comes but vs FD completing and he jams for PSB I think I'm crushed.

Hmmm, this is odd. We beat JT. But villain looks like he'd understand that JT doesn't beat and overpair.

TBH on these board when I am faced with odd raise like this, they can hardly ever be bluffs so I don't mind a fold.

You raise UTG and bet bet flop and turn and get a raise here. I don't mind the turn call, but on river i think it's too much of a random spot for opponent to choose to think it's a bluff. So a good fold here.

Tough spot as I don't see FH raising raising the turn all that often on this board. If you called the river I could see why but at this limit I usually give people the respect when they raise for the pure fact that regs don't bluff in these spots at all.

Tough spot. 5x is an unlikely hand to have but it's not impossible. I think TT is a very real possibility here. Other hands that might raise could be stuff like KhQh 9h8h and maybe a couple other draws but that's a pretty low about of combos either way. I'm operating under the assumption that villain knows JT isn't very strong here. I feel like at this level this raise will be very value heavy so I think I would just nit it up and fold turn.

If you did come to the conclusion, based on your reads, that villain is very bluffy here then I would prefer a shove over a call on the turn in order to significantly lower his expected value.
