Checkcall turn? Or is it good to bet to make him pay if he has some kind of draw?

I am unsure with this hand...

Calling 14% of cbets here means he has connected in a hard way or had something quite good preflop? I would assume TT 99 ... I dont know about betting small on the turn... you are asking him to shove and player dependent there will be players that see a 1/3rd pot bet in a 3b pot on this board as you being concerned which can encourage them to rip.

On the one hand check calling turn keeps in his weaker hands that have poor equity, but on the other it is difficult for there to be draw on the flop which does not have decent equity such that we dont want it to go check check. Does he bet draws when you check as a bluff? You are getting close to 2:1 ($15 into $31 or somesuch) on the turn and it does look like a weak stab on the turn on your part, which would encourage me to think they can be jamming lighter, and I would be making a small bet with some hands here to look like a weak stab to induce a shove.

Ask others about this one also and get a balanced perspective.

I think I would pay him off as played. But I'm not super happy about it.

QJs didn't get there, 87s might be semi bluffing, flush draws missed, and there are some worse overpairs.

I think it's odd for him to raise turn with a random 9x, and if he's slowplaying a full house then I don't see much reason for him to shove in position. He also has some spazz factor and bluffs.

On the turn you did bet small which may induce somewhat. Personally I would be betting more than half pot and not looking to go for 3 streets on this board. If he has a hand like AT I don't think he would be betting for value once you check the river

I don't like c-r the turn as we give them a chance to check back their draws that would otherwise have called a bet.

A turn raise like this in a 3bet pot is always nasty, but your bet was pretty small and that may have caused them to induce. Combine that with the fact they'll show up with JJ-QQ and AKhh some % of the time, I'm calling it off here.
