Preflop I feel this is a standard open.

Flop: We flop reasonably well here so I like the c-bet here for sure, we are going to get enough folds that it will be directly profitable and we have the open ender to go along with it. When we get raised I don't think we can consider folding here, we are getting a decent enough price and we have position so I like just calling here.

Turn: Villain checks to us which is unusual, I would have expected him to be firing with all of his range here. I was concerned with him going for a second check raise for stacks here so decided to check back to realise my equity.

River: Great card obviously, villain leads out here which is not unexpected after the flop check raise when the turn goes check check. I feel raising here for value is mandatory. Villain can have all sorts of sets/two pairs and may hero call us with a lone queen. Villain jams over our raise and I don't think we can ever consider anything but calling here.

Thoughts on the typical range you would expect villain to show up with here? Does anyone play this hand differently at any point?

Once you get to the river I think this hand pretty much plays itself against a 50bb stack. They can be shoving worse sets and two pairs here. Think the cbet is fine, turn there's no value in betting once checked.

Not sure how I feel pre flop, 2 of the 4 left to act are short stacked and 78o does not play so well.

I think his turn check is weird too. Makes me lean towards putting him on a bare bluff or weak showdown value which doesn't want to check call,so I would bet with the intention of betting a blank river.

As played his river shove is worrying because gutshots make sense to be a part of his flop bluff raise range. Given that we expect him to value bet his sets on the turn I think a smaller raise size on the river would be better. What are you expecting him to play this way which calls such a big raise?

As for calling it off he will almost always have a straight here so we're either chopping or dead. If we raise smaller maybe we can get away but it's tough to recomend somebody folds a straight here.(PS I'm a nit and probably could)

Usually he will be giving up on the turn after his check. Usually better to bluff even though the natural inclination is to be scared of a check/raise. Double check/raise line happens pretty rarely, and villain will barrel his sets the majority of the time on the turn. So he often ends up having some kind of backdoor draw or gutshot which he will check/fold.

River should be fine, although obviously not super excited about the action since he can have the higher straight pretty often.
