Another bluff, with nothing this time.
He didnt 4bet me preflop and the flop shouldnt hit him often.
So I tried to make him fold with bet bet.
Goood or baaad??

I don't like the turn or river as it changes nothing nor does it improve most of our perceived 3 betting range. I don't think any Tx or PP will fold on the turn or river. With no equity in the hand I'd just have given up.If the flop had a single club I'd have cbet with the plan to barrel anything that improves our equity in the hand.

This is something @w34z3l changed in my game early last year. I was sceptical at first but the results were good.

Flop is no good for a c bet so checking is fine.

Once he checks behind we can discount to some degree a lot of his strong made hands. Tx will mostly bet for protection too. So betting turn and river should see us get floated once and then give up on the river a lot more than people expect. It's also not certain that villain will call two streets with a small pair or something like 65s when he has to be concerned that we are check raising the flop there sometimes.

Hopefully w34z3l will stop by and give a more detailed explanation why this works so well.
