Please look at my sizings here.
Sometimes I just bet halfpot on the turn to keep them in, and sometimes I bet bigger like this.
What is optimal?

Bigger is always better for me. Betting big for value with strong hands is how we make our money. I'd have gone bigger myself to $4.50.

If you know the opponent then a quick look at the WTSD should give you an idea of bet sizing. In the absence of reads, then a population read of the pool should give you a size that is neither too big nor too small. It really depends on how the games you are in play. In the pokerstars zoom pool I play in, there are opponents you can easily overbet the pot with because they call down with anything. Others have very tight WTSD and will just fold, so it really does depend, but meeting somewhere in the middle is no bad thing if you are up against unknowns.

I like the sizings. Bigger on the turn would be fine too. I can't think of too many combos that a bigger bet would fold out on such a board, and we really want value from the top of his range rather than worrying if T9s will fold.

I think that a lot of smaller Ax that might fold out would be a part of a normal BTN vs CO 3 bet bluff range anyway, so he shouldn't be heavy on those hands too.
