NL5 710s COvsBB

Villain was a decent reg. We were almost 300bb deep. Is it to safe played? I think that I should have raised the river at around 2,50$-3$ since his bet was so weak but I was afraid of a better flush.

Flop I'd just be calling 300bb deep too, plenty of higher flushes in their range. Once they make a small-ish turn bet and a less than half pot river, I would be raising to around $4 expecting to be called by sets, two pairs and perhaps over pairs. If we get shoved on it's an easy fold although I almost never expect this to happen.

Yeah I'd call flop as well. I'd be tempted to raise turn but with position I'd call but when you fade a pair or a 4th club I'd be raise/folding the river. Probably smaller than Harv but I do tend to undersize, hoping to get called by sets, AT with a club, 2 pairs maybe or some T9 maybe. I think I'd raise to $3. Might tempt him to bluff jam though so a guess a bigger size makes the raise/fold easier.

Flop call is good, we're really hating life if we get raised big and barreled on being so deep.

Turn call is ok for this size.

River looks like a standard raise for value though. I don't expect him to bet so small with better flushes, and nor will he go mental with a 9 high flush once we raise. If he does then we can get away easily. Personally I would go for $3 but maybe I'm not being ambitious enough and bigger is better
