Hey Guys,

Villain was 18/13, Agg 1.7, Fold to 3bet of 48%

Pre: Looking back I should have went larger here as there was a limper and for being OOP post flop. Feel I could have went to around 56c - 60cish pre.

Flop - Top Pair Top Kicker - I'm leading out here to charge any draws and weaker Ax hands - Again feel could have went bigger (Gone to 3/.4 pot instead of 1/2 pot)

Turn. - Board pairs - I'm betting for value as the only Ax hands I'm now losing to are AQ and A8 and feel enough of his range will continue that I'm ahead of (as a side note if I was raised here I was ready to fold)

River. This is were I get completely stuck - If I shove the river, I think i'm only getting looked up by better (Full house or Flush.) However, when he shoves for a little under 1/2 pot I only need to be good here 25% of the time should this river play have been a check call ?

Looking back at the hand I feel If I would have went bigger pre and on the flop I wouldn't have put myself in this river position as we would have been all in on the turn.

Can I get your thoughts?

Pre: Agree with larger sizing preflop. My standard three bet when OOP is to ~4x their open so I would be going 60-65c here.

Flop: Normally I like going for around half pot with c-bets in threebet pots but here I think there is a case for increasing this. If villain has a hand he is going to call with, he is probably going to be calling most sizes so going 70-75% seems good to me.

Turn: Same as above, I like betting on the larger side here to maximise value from worse Ax hands.

River: If we had gone larger on previous streets than our decision would already be made by the river, folding would be out of the question. I think here that the pot is too large and our hand is too strong to consider folding. My preference would be to jam ourselves rather than go for the check call though.

I would be making this 60c OOP with a limper. In a FR game against the high jack you don't have to 3 bet AK QQ because the ranges will be very tight. As the limper is present it's totally fine as we don't want to be OOP without initiative multiway.

I don't mind the small sizings here. I wouldn't expect a great deal of smaller Ax in villain's range with a PFR of 13%. Bigger would be ok I guess but I think in a tight FR game what you gain you lose from folding out Qx more frequently.

On the river I think your choice to check fold was spot on. In a FR game people just aren't ever stacking off worse here and I'm sure you've noticed there's not a great deal of bluffing going on either.

You already got solid advice that I agree with, but I can't ever fold this hand on the river given the stack to pot ratio. The board is somewhat ugly, but the fact that As is on the board (blocking tons of potential flush combos) and we have to be right so rarely to make this a profitable call makes it so I'm never folding here.
