I don't think this hand is a call pre flop from the SB vs 100bb stack size, I'd 3bet or fold.

I'd have loved a donk on the flop if raised, our hand is strong enough to call for sure. Turn raise I'd love to here other comments, on one hand I like it to build a pot, but the more I think the less hands I see them calling with. Jx and sets all bet the flop, KQ AK is not raising the turn but flushes are, so it's hard to see what we target with a raise if we assume they are a reg.

Think I'd prefer to 3bet this preflop or fold it. For a newer player the safer way would be fold, obviously.
The problem with calling is that we are out of position and do we have any idea what the big blind might do, such as reraising which makes us fold anyway?
Even if we call it gives the big blind a nice price to make up the difference, now we're playing piggy - in the - middle out of position with 8 high. Tricky.

As played I'd prefer to donk out flop and turn and see how that goes. Wouldn't be a bad result to take it down with 8 high Smile If we bet flop, bet turn an get raised I'd like a fold which is quite tough to do!

I don't like donking at all. OK we have good equity v kx, but we isolate the range we are flipping against by leading rather than x/c v bluffs or betting turn after he checks where he likely has air. The turn bet is great even when we miss our flush and we then bluff again OTR and pretty much print money.

As stated, pre is 3b or fold

Preflop is typically a 3bet.

X/c flop seems to be the obvious way to play the hand.

Turn lead is good. Turn 3bet is not mandatory, but certainly reasonable. Hand is reasonable overall, just change PF Play perhaps.

I agree with the calls for a 3 bet, though I am calling 98s typically so it's obviously close.

As played I like the flop check call attempt, but wouldn't be so keen to 3 bet the turn with an 8 high flush having no read on villain.
