Here's the thing, if you knew villain can make this play light (which would definitely require some specific info because average NL5 players aren't really known for check/raising light in 3bet pots) I guess calling the flop raise wouldn't be terrible but by default, I'd just fold here.

Checkraises in 3bet pots are typically pretty strong. AK with potentially 2 live overcards plus the gutter is in a bit of a tough spot against a tight range. AK should have decent equity but you don't often get to realise that equity if villain shoves turn.I would probably peel the flop and play turn the same as you but I'm thinking that might be thin.

@MattVIP What do you think about shoving over the x/r rather than calling if villain is nuts?

Don't know if i ever like shoving. I think the 3bet X/R as (i think) you said on another thread is pretty strong. Range is narrow, smells like sets, combos or overpairs, none of which are folding. I don't mind checking the flop tbh, but B/F is prob cool.

I think straight forward 4bet GII pre is a better move at nl5 tho

Well, given the deceptively high amount of equity we have vs. someone who raises frequently it actually looks decent though equally our outs are also great for aggro villain to barrel so I might want to play this particular type of hand passively in position.

Nobody else considering checking back on the flop?

As played I'm folding the flop because I agree with everybody above saying flop check raises in 3 bet pots are too nutted on average. It's also unlikely we're going to be able to see a river for an acceptable price.

@Turlock was going to say that. I think i just x flop and get the opportunity to see a free turn card that can be good for us (like xc)
