PLO KK lead

Posted 7 years ago

I'm a beginner at PLO.

What do you think of my flop lead with KK? I didn't want to x/c or x/f, I'll get ton of folds, calls by draws and get raised by set and have easy fold.

Turn is 2nd best card in deck, so now I value bet.

River is blank, villain should have ton of FD's and SD's so go for x/c.

Anything of that made sense? Laugh

Flop is to weak hand to donk. It has REALLY bad EQ 4 way on this flop. Shouldnt feel bad at all c/f. After the flop i think your play is okay.

I agree with Prostaker. There are almost no good turns to continue this hand out of position if called, and we are likely to get called. Even heads up here a lot I would be check folding KKxx some of the time for this reason. You have no way of knowing what turn cards you can continue on and just end up being owned a bit in a awkward spot with a very naked overpair. This hand plays to overset people and that is pretty much it. If you play this to have an overpair out of position multiway I think you will get taken apart.

I see, a bad habit of NL player, but at least I didn't 3bet.

A wide follow up - what hands would you be leading here? 2pairs, some sets, some BD's that can't really x/c?

on this board vs 3 opponent I think you should lead strong made hands only for value and protection

On the river, I like the check call, we have a bluff catcher and that's about it with just an overpair although it's not the wettest of boards, if he bets much bigger I think I'd be folding but we get a decent price to call.

Pre, only a small raise to call but we are hoping to hit a king and that's it, the hand is weak overall, especially multi-way
