PLO underfull on the flop

Posted 7 years ago

Normally in this spot I would revert to just calling down and getting to showdown depending on how the board runs out as likely someone continuing here has a Q + live side cards and they should slow a little unless they fill up. In this instance I opted to raise to get money in with QXXX which I will do some of the time though not often. After I raise the cbet and the very loose SB overcalls, should I be slowing it down and not getting it in? Just check back turn call river? They can be calling here with some diamond draws etc. also. Pre AK77ds on the button is a bit of a looser call that I would generally opt to make, but the two guys on my left are ridiculously loose so I want to be taking every reasonable option to play the button and have position on them.

SB is 97 29 BB is 78 50. Raiser is 34 5 so they are opening very very tight.

Do you ever expect villain to overplay a flush on the turn expecting you to pay off light?

If not then we're never beating anything he's repping but can we ever fold? Villain looks really bad so I'd probably just go with it and assume he can play hands be beat this way for value.

I find it a bit of a lol that the guy who is super super loose playing almost 100% shows up here with the QQ7x for the total case card flop. He *could* have a flush here. He is unlikely to consider me having Q7xx Q6xx so he could be calling flop with say A4KKddxx

You are so deep that raising the flop will just either make him fold his air/draws or create a nightmare turn+river situations as against his calling range of Qxxx you have 1 good out.

I would just call and go from there.

If you had the opportunity to shove preflop, then that would be a good play. But here you will still have 3,5 pots left on the turn.

I agree with Kyyberi that flop should be a flat, especially since you have position and get to dictate to a large extent how the hand will play out and the size of the pot.

You can also 3bet this PF against a lot of players.
