PLO50, binking the river , should we lead here ?

Posted 7 years ago

What should we be looking at to decide if we want to lead the river or let him bluff.

This is what i thought, if he hit a worse str8 he will bet it himself, we got no hearts in our hand so he could easily have missed hearts. maybe he even bets a set ? dont know.

How do you come up with a desicion here?

As played I think you have to bet river. He has so many get to showdown hands on the river that I would expect button to check back a lot. Possibly also check raising the turn is an option.

Anyone else think this is a fold on the flop?

River I'd go ahead and bet and to get hero called thinking we had a flush draw.

yeah fold flop, lead river once we get there, print cheddar, gg.

no way this is a fold on flop. Like lead on river because i think if he has hand like set of fives he is going to check back, he belive that he is good, but you can't call with worse hands, i think his value range on river is set of 10+. i would bet big on river, something like 80% of pot.

+1 fold flop outs are dirty / dead

I'm still not 100% sure why we aren't folding flop OOP in a multiway pot with what essentially equates to nothing but a crappy blocker and a not so great BDFD?

I mean yes, sometimes we can runner runner into the nuts after having to call turn on a diamond but we're not exactly ever happy about it and I think it's pretty losing long run.

EDIT: I just re read the thread, 55 and 22 are never checking back on this board multiway, this is PLO they have to bet for protection

on the river 55 is check behind

im checking the river to let him bluff/vb worse. All draws miss, hearts, low rundowns and diamonds. He should still be VBing sets. Dont think he has many 22,55 in calling range from BTN.

Another option on the flop is to just CBet our selfs. They dont have many sets or 2p and we improve on a lot of turns + we dont cap ourselfs.
