TPGK IP super deep facing heat from confirmed lunatic

Posted 7 years ago

Villain is absolutely nuts. Stats of 69/36 over 39 hands.

No reads on him other than he probably needs restraining for his own safety.

I'm not confident we're good when he bombs the turn but no way I could fold to this guy.

Super unusual river spot as now, I expect our hand is good. However, considering how crazy our opponent appears to be do we go for it with a bet and pray he doesn't just jam it in our eye, or do we wimp out and consider the pot big enough for the strength of our hand?

Villan has fishy stats but have you seen him overplay hands and bet hands for value that he should not? Turn is close to a fold in my book without some hand reads.

I'm checking back river as the pot is big enough and I don't know how much more we can make here with TPGK in a single raised pot. If you have seen him overplay hands and call off in spots they should be folding, then I'd think about betting..

I agree w Harv that I'd like to know at least one time he was at showdown, what he had.

Preflop, he's prob raising AQ. OTF the OR checked, then V checked. He's not going for a c/r vs OR, we're supposed to believe that he 'knew' we would bet when checked to, and thus planned a value c/r vs a field caller? That makes no sense, I think I got dumber just typing it out. What I think is likely is he figured that board couldn't have hit us, so he can c/r and tid. That didn't work, but he's a YOLO player so he bombed turn. We called, and now he's finally decided to give up. I can't imagine he c/r'ed flop/bombed turn, to go for a c/r again otr. That's insanity. I am hugely confident given this line that we have the best hand, and that he has less than TP. So I'd stick out something like $8-12 and hope he calls with a mid PP or A5/A2. If he does go for a crai, I'd snap it off, then prob needle him in the chat in hopes he rebuys to "get us".

I am raising the turn vs villain who bombs and is confirmed a nut case. Cooler if somehow A4 64 / 22 55 then deciding on river if they call the bet. Likely on this river I am betting small or shoving depending on SPR.

Probably I will check a lot of rivers unimproved. Any K Q or diamond I shove 100%.

Keep in mind vs nutcases they can rejam the turn a lot wider than KQ and will call a lot wider also with a bunch of hands which KQ beats and a couple of hands which it doesn't.

I dont see any value in betting the river. He wont have many 1p that plays like this and can call a bet. You cant really rep any missed draws so its quite unlikely that you will get a hero call here.

Check back, win the hand, get information, take the rest of his stack in next hand.
