This hand is poor preflop and I made a loose call.

I call flop to play position. Raising is an option but I prefer to call and play turns deeper.

Turn I could bet here but decide to check it back here. I don't think I am getting a lot of check folds here when they check this turn. It is a pretty blank turn so I expect them to have a check call range here. River I could bluff but decide I am getting called and just check it back to maybe sometimes win.

Thoughts?

Turn I think you need to be betting 100% of the time with nut flush draw and OESD, far too much equity to play this passive with a hand that is very unlikely good at showdown and it makes life much harder to rep anything on blank rivers when you take this line. You now find yourself at the bottom of your range unable to rep much on the river and as you say likely getting looked up pretty light if you do bet.

I expected to get check called on the turn when they check as I do not think they are checking here to give up but to call ~85% of the time which is why I elected to take a free turn. I do not rep much on the turn. If I bet turn I think what I rep is a bet because they checked lol and that is pretty much it.

I guess turn I could be repping some A34x / 346x some sort of T6xx 56xx.

I put myself in a poor spot calling a poor hand pre.

I would bet turn for sure. Even if you get called you have great EQ and nice to build a pot for when we hit the nuts on the river. Its important to bet the turn se we dont cap ourselfs and find us in this spot on the river where we can never win if we dont hit.

I doubt that he is calling 85% of times on the turn if you bet. At PLO5 people cbet a lot, here he can cbet his whole range.

@Kyyberi ty for the all the PLO posts Laugh

By calling 85% I meant he is check folding some 99xx / and perhaps rarely some Txxx... So the bulk of his check calls - and there are a lot, I don't beat, so I check back the river to improve and then try and bet. I expect to get called on the turn by most Txxx or better hands. Do you think I should bet turn? Likely also by betting turn I fold out a lot of unpaired overs that can hit the river.

Maybe this hand is moot as I shouldn't be playing it pre in the first place.

I would assume he cbets most of his range there. And once you call he gives up on pretty much everything that doesn't hit the board. I can crunch some numbers with PJ later.
