I didn't get my reward for April race.... is this fair?

Posted 7 years agoEdited 7 years ago

I will write here my case to see what other people think about this.
At the start of the May my account on Betway poker is suspended.
Betway manager told me :"the reason for the account suspension was due to Betway no longer operating in Bosnia and Herzegovina."
Great, very professional from their part that close account without any warning.
They must send me an e-mail a few days before and warned me that my account will be closed, now I lose all my loyalty poinst that I can exchange for money. But that is not all... I also don't get money for April race on Pokervip.
They told me that they can't pay the award because my account is suspended.
" Regarding the April Race- As per our terms and conditions:
"Betway reserves the right to suspend, close or terminate your account at its sole discretion, should you be suspected of:
- having unlawfully obtained winnings – having violated conditions set out in the terms and conditions governing the account"

6.2 Right to Rescind
Betway reserves the right to withdraw any promotion, competition, bonus or special offer at any time.

But they "forgot" that my account is suspended only because I am from Bosnia and Herzegovina, not because cheating or something similar.
Ok, then I contact Pokervip support and they told me that my reward for April race was sent to Betway.
Now Pokervip send e-mail to Betway in which they ask to send my reward money back to them.
When Betway return the money then Pokervip will send me April race via Skrill.
Ok, great.
After 20 days Pokervip live support told me that they finally got a response from Betway.
Betway contacted PokerVIP managers who left this note:
"Unfrotunately, we cannot credit the player as the money was already credited. Betway'd deny refunding the money, directing us to the Terms&Conditions and we cannot cover that - that's direct double cost for the company."

And that is all.
Is this fair ?

I did't do anything wrong and I will not get the money I won on Pokervip April race.
....at the end of the story I expect from Pokervip to pay me, not from Betway.

... and of course I want to see what PokerVip managers have to say about this, since they cannot be directly contacted.

Hi Tomiko,

Tom here and I am a Manager here at PokerVIP. Firstly thanks for taking time out to post.

I totally understand the frustration. You have done nothing wrong and participated in one of our promotions.

The only option open to me is to credit you via Skrill or PayPal - obviously due to country restrictions we can't credit to Betway due to your account status.

What would be great is if you could email me on Tom@PokerVIP.com and send me the following:

1) Betway Screen name
2) PokerVIP account email
3) Skrill or PayPal email

I will then get you credited.

Look forward to hearing from you.

It is great to see that there are still honest companies and honest managers that take care about little man.
Very rare to see this in 21st century.
On the other side "big company" like Betway not care about their players and act extremely shameful.
The main thing is that they are sponsors of F.C. West Ham United .... who cares about poker players.
Great job Betway managers

Gentleman gesture from Pokervip and Tom.
Thanks.

Hi Tomiko,

Thanks for posting again. I am glad we have got this sorted - I would like to personally apologise for the delay.

Yes poker regulation is ever changing and is annoying, it is for this reason and the fact that so many players choose to play through PokerVIP (I would like to think we have good knowledge here).

Anyhow I hope you reply to my email so I can assign you your own personal poker agent on Skype. I am pleased to say that I will be able to assign you a native Bosnian speaker too and I am sure you guys will get along well Laugh

Anyway thanks for choosing PokerVIP and bringing this to my attention.

If anyone else has a similar issue they can feel free to email my personal email: Tom@PokerVIP.com. I am always happy to help.
