AA and KK

Posted 8 years ago

So yesterday I played a couple of hands, 411.
Got dealt AA or KK 8 times @ NL5.
Just saying. I'm still ahead, but am I supposed to lose a large chunk of my money every time I have these hands?

Not really sure what you're posting this for as we are obv not supposed to win every time you have KK+ so it's common to have losing sessions with these hands sometimes, especially in a 400 hands session. Get used to variance Smile

I know. I was just not prepared to get KK+ crushed over a short term.

A few years ago I once ran for 40k hands without making money with KK at 6max nl cash games although I had been a winner at my stakes. These things happen, you just have to grind through these times and do not let this come to you.

AA/KK vs underpair is somewhere near 86.5% preflop equity as far as I remember. There's nothing bad in pushing or calling a push here.
