@Grocker6, this is the moment in MG's blog where he started talking about this challenge.

It's a Natural8 promotion '$100 to $10000 Bankroll Challenge' open to all its players who are OK with streaming all their progress on Twitch. The exact terms and conditions can be obtained by sending a request to support@natural8.com .

In a nutshell, you'll be given 5 attempts to turn $100 into $10000 (thus the starting BR is essentially $500) while streaming on Twitch, the goal has to be reached within 12 months, and you'll be getting 15% rakeback during the challenge instead of the standard 35%, which is still an insanely good deal considering that it will likely take much less than $10K rake to reach the goal.

Ok is the bankroll provided? Or is there a prize? Or just your channel promoted?

I'll be following anyway. Just would like to see how it all works.

Nothing is provided, but it is all about that 10k$ prize money if one succeeds! I figure if I can get it done in 6 months (hard, but possible), 20k/6=3.33k/month and 20k BR. Even if it takes full year I'm still happy with 1.65/month and 20k BR to go yolo to Vegas with

How is natural8 for you anyway? Games extremely soft and crazy? That's what I've heard at least.

Well, I'm currently at NL10 and I even implemented limping in early positions with certain holdings.. Yet NL10 is soft af at any site. Biggest downside of N8 - rake is very high.

Yeah, if there wasn't 10k prize money, I'd never do this challenge, 100$ to 1k$ is pain house :/

I think this is very clever marketing from N8! I was watching Spraggys stream the other day and he is doing the same challenge but on Stars! He has been going 9 months so far and is up to 2.6k (bearing in mind he was a 1knl full time pro)! He said the other day that he has raked so far.......................wait for it......................6k!!!!!!

If we also take into account that N8 rake is MUCH higher than Stars then you don't have to be a GTO whizz to work out the math! Plus the fact they are getting a ton of free advertising from people streaming...................and the fact that almost everybody is going to fail so they don't pay the 10k anyway! Well played N8 is what I say!

FYP. Perhaps the biggest mistake of these HS pros is that they're out of touch with the population tendencies of the micros and don't exploit bad regs (and maybe even fish) hard enough. GTO play is likely simply -EV with this rake.

Besides, the reason why Spraggy is struggling at Stars is that they're reg-infested AF.

Also, as Doug once mentioned, cash games aren't the best bankroll building tool (but mind that PLO has 3% rake at N8 as opposed to the industry standard of 5%, and the caps don't really matter at the micros). If you'd like to play with 2 hole cards, start with Fortune Spin and MTTs and switch to another poker format only when the BR reaches $2K or so.

Almost everyone is going to succeed (besides maybe Xuan Liu, for whom $10K is play money), and the $10K is essentially the premium paid for the extra marketing work as a short-term contract ambassador (Twitching for 200+ hours overall instead of just grinding and enjoying life). It's way less than what they'd had to pay to one more famous and experienced ambassador; of course the content provided by amateurs (at marketing) will be less engaging than the one by celebrities but amateurs are much cheaper to hire en masse.

Yeah I've seen some of Spraggy's stream in the past. Probably best to search out the good regular cash tables at stars or move the money somewhere else.

Reg infested Stars cannot be issue as rake is wayyy lower than room like N8 and there are still tons of fish, you can find regs killing every zoom limit.

Did you see the new Beat the Clock SnGs about 4 hours ago? (They're now temporarily removed from the lobby because they didn't get traffic - hardly anyone in their right mind would play them.)

Do you still think Amaya cares about keeping the games beatable?

Also, recall that it uses the (un)'fair' 'half to even' rounding method, whereas most other rooms always round the rake down.

It goes without saying that Microgaming's microstake cash game rake is better anyway.

For a start I made no reference to Spraggy haven't anything to do with GTO! Second your saying the games are reg infested but then the key is to exploit fish! Thirdly the games at Stars have as many fish as anywhere without a doubt!
