Hi

Would you mind throwing some light on your thought process and the reasoning behind your calldown? It appears to be an interesting hand and an even more interesing opponent.

Hey, I'll make a short video for you explaining how because it relied on a lot of information which will be hard to explain by typing. I'm also going to wait before I post how I made it because I don't want to give too much away about this reg when the pool of players at 888 is small encase he see's it. I'm moving up to 50nl this week so I'll post it for you then.

I forgot to comment on the dynamic after the hand. Basically now I don't expect him to be bluffing me as much especially in a 3b pot

Verrrrrry interesting! Would you have played the hand the same if you weren't short handed?
Posted 9 years ago
No because that would change his range pre-flop so he'd have a lot more value in his range.

Hi Archinator

Thanks for the video, well played and well reasoned hand. Just one thing: you say if he has a 15% 3betting range then we are 'miles ahead' of his range with AJo. Actually, depending on how he constructs his 3betting range we have something like 49-52% EQ which is not exactly 'miles ahead' imo. Other than that, I enjoyed watching your vid.

Good point but note how I said his range doesn't include hands like QJs, so he's very polarised here and we should have around 56% equity by my estimates, which is a lot pre-flop but maybe ahead is an overstatement.
