Thanks for the kind words, I did a lot of study last night on the key hand that lead to me having to shove with KQ-two pair and I have concluded I made a poor bet on the turn, which if I hadn't made and simply check/folded, I would have been in a completely different spot two hands later with the KQ.
First off, know that I was probably playing the best I'd ever played. I was single tabling for a lot of it and was fully focused and picking up a lot of good spots... and that was good cause I was fairly card dead save for one double up midway through with QQ v. JJ.
A few hand examples of spots I picked up with either air or at best semi-bluff equity:
A9o BvB89o Blind DefenseA8o Semi-Bluff ShoveJ7s Blind Defense Semi-Bluff ShoveI was definitely feeling good about my table reads...
The hand I fucked up was a guy playing 32/24 over about 85 hands opened from HJ on my SB; he had me slightly covered and I was at about 670k. I 3bet w/ 69hh as he had 100% Fold to 3bet % and I hadn't been abusing him in anyway so far, so it seemed a good spot to re-pop. He tanked, and called. Flop came 6s3s8h, so actually not a terrible flop for me... I cbet round 45% pot... again, he tanked called... now here is where I should've check/folded on any turn that didn't improve my hand... turn was a 5s... just a horrible card, technically I pick up a straight draw, but with 3 spades on board, it's useless. If I check/fold here, I still have 440k+ at bb16k and am in fine shape with the long blind levels. But I tried to fire again about 165k and he fairly quickly shoved on me, forcing a fold with about 18bb left. Hence why after flatting pre with KQ and flopping 2 pair, I basically had to ship on the cbet. If I had been deeper, I'd have either mucked the KQ pre or played it slowly on the flop and lost minimum given the texture of the board.
Anyway, it's a good start to the Series and I'm very happy with how I played overall and I will learn from my mistake and play even better next deep run.
