Elland Road Grand Prix Poker Tour - 09th/10th April

Posted 8 years agoEdited 8 years ago

Hi

The Dusk Till Dawn Grand Prix Tour rolls into Leeds this weekend at Elland Road football stadium.

The buy-in is $109 (around £78 atm) and the prize pool is GTD at $250,000

Day 1 is 18 levels and making Day 2 results in a min-cash (Over £100 I think plus entry into the next $109 event)

I will be having a stab at two Day 1's on the Saturday as well as possibly playing a side event on Sunday which is also a $109 buy-in with a $50k GTD

Obviously if I make Day 2 with the first attempt the second bullet will be added to winnings, as will the Sunday side event if I end up not playing it.

This is the same as the last package I did which was for the same event at Manchester when I cashed for over $1,600 making a nice return for Barrabod and JonPokerVIP

Total buy-ins $327 no mark up. Playing regardless of sales

Selling max 35% is $114.45

5% = $16.35
10% = $32.70

I'd buy a % normally, but I'm gonna bink it myself so I may aswell save that Stake % Smile

Only joking.I'm just glad there are side events in all honesty Smile

Good luck @killjoy1987 Its my first one actually at the weekend,so sorry to derail your thread,How difficult is the field/competition?I am unsure what to expect ability wise.I'm hoping its filled with the online pool of players that you see daily online(rather than Pros turning up for the prizepool). What was it like in Manchester?

Haha no problem! It's quite a long day one with only around 10-12% of the field getting through to the Day 2's so there's quite a lot to get through / landmines to dodge. I wouldn't say the standard is too great, there are tons of satellites so I would reckon most of the players are from online. I got to level 17 in Manchester before losing with JJ > 99. There are good players like @Abzisaledge who final tabled the last one Wink but overall it's well structured, is a good atmosphere, is run pretty well and obviously a massive prizepool for the relatively small buy-in.

One bit of advice I'd give is to get there early to avoid the queues!

Good luck!

Well we bricked the two Day 1 entries, lasting until 11.30pm. Had above average going in to the final few levels but lost a sizeable pot with AK against 77 on an A47 flop. Didn't end up going back (2 hour each way) for the side event on the Sunday so will refund the $109, will sort that shortly
