Had a couple of coaching sessions with Ferg and they have both been excellent. Unlike other coaches I have used Ferg makes an effort to understand why you make decisions and explains the reasoning behind his decisions rather than just watching you play and pointing out mistakes with no explanation. I hope we continue for a long time!

Dear Fergal..ive just restarted playing poker and as i had been a member i came accross some of the videos you made(fast poker)...i have watched some of them and i picked up a few good tips..i really enjoyed it and please make more of those types in the future if you can...especially up to 50NL..thank you Sir Sorry i cant seem to be able to rate but i was gonna give 5 stars!

I decided to contact Fergal after my cousin had a couple of sessions with him and he ranted and raved about how beneficial the session were to his game. During the session Fergal pointing out several areas where I could make improvements, especially in relation to bet sizing. Due to relatively poor bet sizing, I was committing too much money to some pots and not enough to others. He also covered our opponents calling ranges and explained how to maximize our equity in hands while also minimizing our losses in others. After the session I was added to a study group where other players who are at a similar level to myself discuss different strategies and we review hands together.

Having watched Ferg's PokerVIP videos on Youtube and subsequently following him on Twitch, I realised that the controlled aggression he employed by him would benefit my game hugely. During our session, Ferg pointed out several areas that needed attention and explained how to best improve those elements. More specifically these were; calling ranges from each position; bet sizing; 3bet and 4bet opportunites; and postflop decisions. The additional study group has proved invaluable in the analysis of previous hands, with several active and knowledgeable players that are keen to help from a variety of backgrounds playing at the stakes ranging from the same to much higher. Looking forward to our next session!

Began watching Ferg on Twitch before finding out he coaches microstakes players as well. Was always a losing player until I started taking lessons with him. First lesson was very much getting to know my style and plugging some obvious leaks, and in the second we got deep into my DB and plugged the single(!) leak that was left, stopping me from crushing the nanos. I was able to jump up the stakes very shortly after and am now playing the best game of my life. Another excellent perk is Ferg's study group; it's extremely active and filled with very knowledgeable players. I have to credit a large amount of my recent success to those in the group as well. Far and away the best value coach I've had.

Just had my first session with Fergal. I am playing 2/5ct microstakes zoom. During this session we went trough alot of spots and I learned alot. I learned poker strategies like Inelastic Calling Ranges and how to approach certain hands were I was struggeling with (mainly 3 bet pots). This session really opened me to explore new strategies and use them. I don't think this was my last session with Fergal. I highly recommend him!

I found Fergal through twitch and approached him for coaching regarding the microstakes. I am happy to say I had a productive first session. He quickly managed to find spots I should work on and was thorough in his explanations. This certainly helped to solidify a few important lines I would have not spotted by myself. A good way to start beating the micros!

Just had my first coaching session with Fergal. I'm a 10NL player and have really tried to get better at the game but Fergal detected some leaks in my game that I haven't realised I had. Will definately continue working together and get more coaching sessions. He managed to explain things in a logical and clear way. A good choice for learning how to beat the micros!

After having followed Fergal's Twitch stream and watched his coaching videos for Pokervip, I decided to approach him for some coaching. After our first session yesterday, I am happy to report that it was money well invested. After watching me play and going through my stats, he was able to show me, where I could expand my game. His explanations of the changes, I needed to implement, were delivered in a friendly, logical and easily understood manner. He has rekindled my enthusiam and confidence, and I can't wait to implement, his suggestions. I would have no hesitation in recommending his services, to any micro stakes player, looking to improve their game.

Fantastic session with fergal today. first session of many :) He had the ability to pick up on small errors I was making and explained in depth what i was doing wrong and why, and most importantly how to change these mistakes. He explained things in depth and went thought topics thoroughly. I recommend him to any player who wants to improve there game play and understanding of poker. Thanks fergal and looking forward to a successful long term coaching partnership :)

Had a session with Fergal, he was very articulate and clear in his explanation of key concepts. He also has helped me to plug leaks in my own game which has helped me already go from a losing player to a marginal winning player after JUST ONE LESSON. Looking forward to my next few lessons with Fergal and working my way up the stakes under his guidance. After watching a few of Fergal's videos I would say he will be helpful for people who are currently not beating 10nl, but he is no better than an average, slight winning reg at 10nl/20nl. He explains things clearly which will help newbies and break even/losing 10nl players, but his concepts are not that helpful and he has a number of leaks in his game he needs to look at.

Just had a session with Fergal. And I loved it. Me being a new player he went over HUD stats of HEM and then we went on for a session on Zoom. We talked about the different hands and board textures. About 3x vs 4x 4bets. What they mean and how they would be perceived, same for the different positions. Would defiantly recommend, easy going and explains everything thorough.

I found Fergal's coaching videos brilliant, and after private coaching I would highly recommend him. Really knows his stuff, very easy to talk to, and I already notice a massive improvement in my game. Very affordable as well, if you haven't already, check him out!

I wasn't even winning at 2NL, then I had just one hour of coaching with Ferg and it helped a lot. I could increase my winrate from 0BB/100 to 4-5bb/100 just by fixing some leaks ferg showed me. I found him by watching his twitch channel. On Twitch he's one of my favourite streamers right now and I'm always having fun watching him. At the beginning of the coaching session he watched me playing and took some notes. We sat out a few times and talked about my thought process in specific hands and what I could have done better. After playing he stressed out some potential leaks in my game and how to fix them. At the end we looked into my database to find some statistics that are not in line. All in all I think ferg is definately worth the money. I don't think I could've gotten that much of a boost for the same price from another coach. Thanks again!
