I had 2 major downsings on silly stakes like 10nl and 25 nl while building a bankroll. I am now at 1500$ playing zoom exclusively. I started to doubt my abilities which was ridiculous ( i work very hard on my game ;, i am very active on sevral forums and so on, generally speaking pretty much beating microstakes pretty hard).

The good thing is a downswing forces you to check and reavluate ur whole game which can never be bad. It also made me realise i was playing scared money. I didn\'t tilt but stopped 2 barreling at decent frequencies and such.

Anyways even at 10 nl i had a 25 buy in swing ( i ended up winning like 60 buy ins over 200 k hands lol). a bit later the same happened at 25 nl. Variance can be extremely harsh even when ur a big winner ( just check a variance simulator , extremely scary hehe).

The most dangerous thing besides monky-tilt is making too many passive plays , not valuebetting big enough , checking back too often , never bluffcatching when u should. In a way that\'s erratic play and solely based on emotions.

the \' imma play tighter\' cuz of variance argument is ridic unless the downswing has an effect on your decision making
