Ignorant end

The term is usually used in connection with a straight (or straight draw) in games with community cards. Ignorant end of a straight means to the lowest straight possible, called 'ignorant' because often even when you hit, you will not know where you stand.
For example, if you have 6 - 7 in your hand, and the board reads 2, 8, 9. You call the bet and hit a 10 on the turn. Although you hit your straight, it is an 'ignorant end' of the straight, as there are two other straights out there beating you at the moment.
