Inside straight draw

An inside straight draw happens when a player is trying to fill a straight with one of the "inside" cards needed. For instance, a player has 6-8 in his hole cards. The flop comes up as 5-9-10. The player needs a 7 to make his straight. This is called drawing to an inside straight. It can also be called a gutshot in some places.
