Offsuit

Two cards that have different suits. The term is commonly used to refer to the hole cards for a player in Texas Hold Em, Omaha, and Stud games.

Offsuit hands are generally considered worse than suited hands because its lack of ability to make a flush (most of the time). This lack of ability leads to a slightly lower equity than suited variations of these hold cards. AhKs has slight less equity than AcKc, although this equity difference is quite small. However, the post flop playability is much better for AcKc given its ability to make a flush draw.
