I play lots of stud and love low ball games. Omaha-8 is pretty sweet. I find split pot games have an extra element of mind games to them.
Played penny games online for a bit and free rolled my way to a $10,000 payday once. My game really took off from there and wound up making a ton of money playing 4/8$ triple draw lowball and 5/10 limit holdem.
The site I was on was pretty small and one day I waited for a couple hours for a game. Thought I'd try my luck at 25/50 triple draw because there were a few players at the table. These guys cleaned up my bankroll in about 30 min. Using all the same moves I'd use at my normal limits. I was more concerned about the money than making optimal plays. It was a real life lesson for me. I stopped playing for a year or so and have only played casual since.
The money was to big for me to properly focus

Wow. Sounds like a roller-coaster ride Matt.

What games do you play now? Is it hard to find stud and omaha-8 games running? I don't think many sites have them running other than stars.

Welcome to the site anyway, hopefully we see more of you around the forum. Punch

For the last 6 months or so I've been playing live, private games so I still get my fix. I haven't played online for most of that. But when I do its on pokerstars.

Going to get involved in online poker again. We have a provincial poker site that is like to try I think the games there are going to be pretty soft as its only open to two provinces.

Hey my name is Colton Gutfriend, I'm 25 years old and unfortunately don't know what "Format is". My stakes is however I am tilting, haha, and I'm trying my best to become a great player. I've been playing for 4 years and have shown little to none improvement, but I plan on changing that with this site. My dog's name is Tigger, and I love fish sticks as long as there is tartar sauce.

Believe Me Your Game Is Going To Change

I know it will, it's just like working out, I need someone to show me the proper form before the certainty I'm doing the right thing reveals itself.

Hey tomat0man, format means what games you play, 6max cash, MTT, SnGs etc. Welcome to the site buddy, hope to see you more!

Hello guys, I am newbie to this poker forum and so much interested on NLHE. I wish the expert players of this forum will help me to improve my poker skills. Thanks.

Wotchya . Just joined up to this site after following the vids on you tube. Been playing nlhe for about 5 years, mainly sit n go's, double or nothins, cash and recently rush, all at micro stakes. Love the game and am always looking to improve but don't know many people (in the real world) who play seriously. I like the idea of interacting with other poker heads so thought joining up would be a good move. Would welcome any advice on how to improve my post flop play as its rather amature at the the moment. Am in Birmingham UK. I don't have a dog and think a cat may steal my fish sticks.

We can 100% do that! The more you give to the forum the more you get back. Basically meaning post up every problem you have, anything interesting or just general hand histories and you will always get a bunch of replies.

Where do you currently play? How did you get into poker?

lol nice intro mate and welcome!

Quick read i might have just made: Are you into sneakers? I ask this as you said 'poker heads' and in the sneaker world collectors are know as 'sneaker heads'. I could be way off so just ignore this if not lol.

Really hope you get stuck into this forum. We have a great mix of players from first timers - pros.

What's up y'all? My name ia Jason and I've loved poker since the day I layed my eyes on the game... guess you can say it was love at first "site"(which was pokerstars when it was legal in the US of A). Little corny joke I kno but I'm no good at this introduction stuff. So... I've been playing poker for a couple years, mainly NLHE but I've also dabbled in PLO and 7 card stud. I always just picked things up here n there but recently I found some extra time on my hands and decided that I stop playing around with poker and start playing poker! I'm looking to hone my current skills as well as add an abundance of knowledge and tools to really improve all areas of my game. I play on bovada(no name obviously bc their tables anonymous) and Lock poker both of which Im not to fond of but it could just be my playing im not too fond of? I prefer a live table to online but im sure both areas need great and constant improving...So I'm going to leave it on that note, say im glad to be here and cant wait to improve my game ten fold bc lord knows it needs it lol
