Hi everyone! Name's Shane, live in Co. Galway, Ireland. Been playing casually for 5 years, took on a staking contract in the last couple of months so looking to make serious jumps play-wise! Play uNL Zoom and regular tables on Party. Shoutout to my old coach Danny who sent me here (via a quite amusing 'dear god don't go near *unnamed forum*' lol).

Hope to be able to chat about hands and learn from others here!

Johan here, from Antwerp, Belgium and I'm fresh on the poker scene. I was always interested in poker back in the days but never really got into it. But now I'm a bit older and want to delve into this.
At the moment I'm really fresh and trying to soak up as much poker as humanly possible. Reading articles, watching video's and reading books.

Currently 27 y.o and a student doing "digital arts and entertainment". It's main focus is on making game whether it's AAA or Indie.
Personally I'm interested in the FX and animation that can be found in games.

Aside from poker another gaming hobby is rocket league and sim-racing (although that's on a hold).

I want to become good / well versed in tournaments but with the blinds going up so fast making you push in some weird hands (at least for me) is a bit rough.
Thus following bad calls / pushes and I'm out.

So at the moment I'm sticking to 2NL to learn the game a bit better. Knowing when you can call / put a bit of aggression on the table.
Still get caught in not knowing when to lay a hand down. But I guess we've all been there.

I must say this site and the courses are amazing especially with the video's where you can see the thought process in action.

I've watched most of the vids in the beginner's course and now I'm also delving in the tournament courses.
I like the reviews of HH's or review of life play ( things get explained a bit better, which is useful for me at least ).

I also like the quiz's at the end to shortly review if you understand what you've learned.

So why the change from cash to spin and go's? What stakes do you play?

I've never been staked in cash. I'm a snger for life. I switched to spins for more volume and to find the fish. I played 3 dollars spins but I am looking for another site. Possibly Stan James but website is down or Betvic.
