Got round to Walking Dead earlier on, obviously we knew Carl was losing his eye at some point so that's happened, I'm glad Sam and his mum are dead, just did not like them characters, all they do is slow the group down.

Glenn gets out of a situation which had already killed 3+ members... standard lol

I'd say it's the best episode of this whole season which overall has been crap. Hopefully they will move the pace along now, that's the worst thing it's been like 2 days but it's took 3 months to show it. Carl's nearly married but should be like 12 and the baby is talking and walking and shouldn't be far off a newborn

Finally finished Jessica Jones season 1. What a chore to get through. Pretty disappointed but no doubt I'll stick around for season 2.

Started Arrow season 1. One episode in and it's already better than JJ.

@jongordon84 yeh Jessica Jones I quit after episode 1 so glad to hear that it really is not worth it.

Hmmm that Arrow looks pretty week so i will hold off watching it until you report back after a few episodes!

Started Black Sails again. Now finishing 2nd season and things are getting more and more interesting. Worth if you like pirates.

@jongordon84 I have exactly opposite feeling when it comes to those shows. Jessica Jones was absolutely great, mature story that Marvel space desperately needed in my opinion. As for the Arrow... I'm not sure how I managed to stick with it for the third season and I'm not watching the current one. The only good thing about The Arrow was a certain villain from seasons one and two, but they ultimately messed up his arc and failed to give him justice. Other than that the theme of the show is really inconsistent, it aspires to be 'dark' but it's hard to pull-off within the 'a bunch of good-looking people on the screen at the same time CW style' formula and ultimately the show goes from 'dark' to 'angsty' (at best). I don't recommend it.

I was so surprised by the last Walking Dead episode. The dialogue was good! The only iffy conversation of the episode was between Carl and Enid and even that bit made sense at the end. Seriously it was like a different show. Instead of your standard "boom, boom, pompous monologue, boom, ridiculous and ultimately meaningless dialogue, boom, boom" formula we got a great, well paced, self-contained story. I'm trying not to get my hopes up but it was the best episode of the show I've seen in a long time. Oh and it also introduced one of my favorite comic book characters. I hope that the show uses him more than the comic book.

OMG how has nobody mentioned this yet! The People Vs OJ Simpson

Episode one in the bag and wowwwwwwwww. They are dropping the Kardashian family name in there a lot but wow what a story. I am pumped to see this one out

This show is on my list to watch. I think it's not super popular because older folks had the chance to witness this story as it unfolded and younger folks don't know who OJ even is. Anyway, I'm glad you like it @Jon-PokerVIP because I have high hopes for this one.

Who is watching The X Files? What the hell did I witness this week? I am so baffled by the whole episode, not the storyline, I mean how different the episode was in comparison to the first two. Episode 3= I am done with this series.

So episodes 1 & 2 were enjoyable I thought. They had an intertwining background story which kept me interested and the overall feel was that it was serious with a small bit of humour thrown in and the usual slightly chilling stuff that you would expect.

Now episode 3, where do I start? For those of you that have watched it, you will know exactly where I am going and if you don't, sorry but you live on another planet because this episode was beyond ridiculous.

I spent the whole episode thinking wtf, this is a wind up. It was like a spoof version of the show with some man in a suit dressed as a lizard, like something out of Dr Who, it looked ridiculous and it just got worse as it went and by the end it was beyond terrible, like a bad comedy movie and the episode was totally stand alone also, the previous background story was not even mentioned, so I guess that is over with?

Hmmm, not impressed at all!

I haven't watched it but I would keep going. One episode does not a series make, or something.

Sure, you can look at it that way, but it's also fair to drop the show that doesn't speak to us for some reason because there are only so many hours in the day Smile

In other new. Daredevil season 2 is hitting Netflix in a little over two weeks and I can't wait!

I really enjoyed The Arrow myself (you know it's a bit ridic, but it's fun to watch all the same)

American Horror Story is good, as is True Detective S1, The 100 looks interesting and it's been recommended to me, also the obvious GoT, Boardwalk Empire, From Dusk Till Dawn, and Gotham - Daredevil S1 was good, so will be checking out S2 soon probably as well.

Oh, one last "hidden-gem" is Prayers For The Dying - it's short, but quite hilarious in parts!

@ Keri - I suspected that might be the case with The X-Files - I loved the original myself too, so have consciously avoided this so as not to taint pleasant memories Smile

@joncamsell - Yeah definitely ruined it for me Sad

Looking forward to this one...

This is a interesting one.

I completely agree with you (Though leave Doctor Who out of it!). I really really loved the first episode and sooo excited to carry on. Then watching Episode 2 I thought I was actually watching The 4400 and Episode 3... well... you summed it up.

However, the initial story is the overarching storyline for the whole series whilst having individual cases investigated as well, so I'm still looking forward to tonight, it can't get worse surely and it must pick up, it started so strong!

@killjoy1987@CrazyKeri You've done it. I was mildly interested in the X-Files, but I'll give it a pass now. There are only so many hours in a day right?

Anyone have an opinion on "Better Call Saul"? Is it as good as breaking bad? Season 2 started and I seen Season 1 is now on the Canadian netflix so i might have a go at that.

It's good and worth a watch. But other than the character it's nothing like Breaking Bad, not as dark or violent, and there's more humour etc so if you forget any Breaking Bad expectations you should enjoy it. I'm looking forward to watching season 2.
