MattVIP: My recent YouTube binge was about the dog training of all things. Every now and again I'm contemplating the idea of rescuing one, but my current living arrangements make it impossible at this point in time, plus even though I like animals very much I have a slight dog-phobia associated with the fact that my older brother got mauled by one when we were kids. Anyway, how much time do you spend on training and exercising your dog every day?
I would 100% recommend you get one and just go for a smaller quiet one like he is. You will have plenty of choice and most rescue centres will make you walk them and hangout a bit to make sure you're compatible.
Well I just live in a flat with no private garden so everytime he is outside...I am. We spend around 4-5 hours a day out which is 7-9miles for me so maybe 25-30 for him once he has ran around and come back and forth.
I am insanely lucky to live where I do. Huge dog walking community, back roads, fields and a council owned dog park with beck and hills and lots of walks off to fields and old railway lines! I would find it really hard if he had to always be on the lead and be pavement walking that's for sure!
