April overview :

Profit: € 1114
Hands: ~80k

I’m not satisfied with april at all, played poorly and profit is coming from bonuses. It could be easily 5k+ month…

But anyways, I feel like I’m gonna completely crush in may! Wink

Profit is profit tho buddy! What is the profit breakdown from tables, rb and bonuses?
Posted 8 years ago
Well yeah Jon, profit is still profit - but I did suck at the tables.

All profit is coming from bonuses ( mostly RB ) and I was slightly loosing at the tables.

Anyways, I`m doing good so far this month :

Hands played : 12368

Profit : +1128 euro

Yeh it is always good to focus on gameplay but looking back over my last 10 years just being positive over profit is a big win!

Nice work so far this month man! That is insanely sick profit!

May overview :

Profit: € 1536
Hands: ~90k

Not satisfied with the results again. Yeah its 1.5k profit but could be easily 5k or even more.

I did not played great and I was also running terrible in may.

My biggest leak is mental game and I seriously need to work on it since I found bunch of speewy moves while reviewing hands in may.

Would take that as an unsatisfied month Smile

What work do you currently do in your mental game? There are lots of things you can do from mgop and mgop2, but you have to actually do them Cheeky

Solid profit dude and sure the 5k month will come especially now a lot of regs have gone to the WSOP for the summer.

You get an instant like for the name of the blog and Lateralus in the first post. I'm also interested how are you going about improving your mental game.
Posted 8 years ago
@CrazyCookie Well if you play nl50/nl100 having 1.5k profit month means your profit comes from rakeback. So I`m not satisfied with that and I also know that I can do way better Smile

Thanks for your support as always @Jon-PokerVIP

@MattVIP Thanks man, glad there are more Tool fans here Wink

Regarding mental game issues, I watched couple of times so far Jared's Mental Game of Poker and I should pay attention to things that are tilting me first, notice how they come and prevent them from coming actually.
Most of the times mistakes come when I play more than 2 hours and my brain gets tired/bored and I start to do dumb stuff.

Speaking of mental game which known pros do you guys think have the best and why?
Posted 8 years ago
@Jon-PokerVIP Hard to say, but both Ivey and Galfond are up there when we're talking about the top pros.

@alexg89 Are you using breaks in your routine? I've found it to be one of the most impactful things on my mental game. It's so good for your mind to just relax for 5min every hour or so. Also, what's your favorite Tool album? I think I'm one of those few people who actually enjoyed 10000 Days the most though Lateralus and Aenima are definitely up there.

Yeah, both Ivey and Galfond are up, I`ll also add Barry Greenstein - huge respect for him!

Not sure how I would react loosing close to 1m flip Smile

@MattVIP Yeah, thats what I recently introduced to my game. Before I could grind for 3 hours straight without even taking a short break.
Uuuuhm.. There is no such thing as favorite Tool album for me Smile But I can easily say that Lateralus is master piece!
By the way, since you like Tool, recently I listen to Colour Haze a lot while grinding. Have you heard that stuff?

Skip to 1:50 since music starts from there

Hmmm the mental game with Barry is he must just be completely immune to it by now - hes played for like what 40 years? I hear he is completely busto and normally is staked for these high stakes games....anyone know more about this?
Posted 8 years ago
Really have no idea about Barry lately, but would like to know as well.

June overview :

Profit: € 1034
Hands: ~68k

Another fail month since profit is coming from RB/bonuses.

Didn't played like 10 days in june since I had some urgent work to finish and also health issues. Still not excuse for poor results.

Goal for july is to target at least 3k profit and play at least 100k hands (zoom/fast combination allowed).
Posted 7 years ago
July overview :

Loss: -€ 812
Hands: ~70k

Have around $300 in points that can reduce that loss but will save those to get higher % back.

Anyways, worst month so far. From about half of july I almost stopped playing my stakes and started playing nl10 fast for summer grind promo at party. Main reason is struggle with mental game because of terrible run. Loosing 7 flips in session running it twice ( both times ) and way too many spots where ppl get there with 5-15 % equity.

I also decided to stop playing at Stars and I need to decide what network(s) I will play at.

You can't win them all. You've been logging in solid, consistent profit over the last few months so I'm sure you'll be back in green very soon. As for the poker room change, PokerVIP has a ton of viable option. I recommend going on a deposit bonus hunt on skins/poker rooms you haven't played on before cause it's easy to get >50% rakeback that way (though the quality of the games is, of course, more important, but since you're changing the room anyway, you might as well take advantage of the added value).
Posted 7 years ago
Yeah you are right Matt. I am registered at bunch of rooms under pokerVIP already Smile
Will play at party for now and take a look at 888.

Anyways, month didn't started great so far. Played okayish but coolers while playing deep killed my profit. AA vs KK lost for 300bb’s and set on set for 220bb’s

It really sucks this deep Smile

Damn those hands really suck deep, aces and just it running out like that. ITs very hard to get into such spots so it can be easy to dwell on it but try not to. Embrace it and keep crushing
Posted 7 years ago*
Not super worried about it @Jon-PokerVIP , as long as I get my money in good - I`m happy.
Still happy that day ended -60€ considering coolers. Could be easily $700+ day, but next time... Smile
