Cheers buddy! The last 2 nights the games have been a whale fest! I mean really ridiculous and I am down a couple of buyins I really cant put my finger on why but I really struggle against whales! I think I am too eager to get into pots with them and I just never believe they have it! I really need to work on it! Be interesting to discuss how or whether people widen their range against fish or just continue to play solid and wait for mistakes??

I have been looking more and more into Snowie and defo think I am going to give it a try! I don't plan to follow it as gospel but defo think it will be a very useful tool in certain spots!

Keep your head up dude! Good news is your crushing the guys who are tough to crush so take from that what you will. As for the whales there is nothing worse than seeing them get away or someone getting their cash. Just be ready for them next time with an even bigger harpoon

Sooooo I had a couple of nights off as I just wasn't feeling it! Back tonight and after a few hundred hands I just feel mehhhh! Just bored really! Don't know why as I have been really enjoying playing since starting back! I really wanted to clear the last part of my bonus but the thought just fills me with dread haha! I think it may actually be this putting me off playing! I tend to like just jumping on and smashing short sessions then going back later! Not sure what's up really just not feeling it!

It happens buddy! I have had times where I feel like this and the best thing is to just wait until you get the itch. For me it would take like a few hours or a couple of days max and i would be straight back on there going harder than ever.

Yeah I certainly don't think like its a lasting thing just not really in the mood and have a lot of other things going on! Then when I do sit down I am just clicking buttons and making really stupid mistakes! So defo think it is best to just wait until you really want to play like you say!

Hey guys! Been thinking about ways of getting and maintaining motivation to grind! And I usually find that when I move to a new site that it really motivates me! So I think at the end of Feb when my deposit bonus runs out at SJ I am going to split my roll and move half to an Ipoker client! My roll is just about big enough to play 20nl on both sites!

I was torn between Ipoker and a fishy site like Sky or Unibet! I think Ipoker is the best choice as they have fast fold! Working full time and going to the gym and playing pool mean that I do not have a huge amount of time to grind! So a fast fold variant will be a good advantage as I can get the most 'bang for my buck' as they say! As always opinions/comments welcome

I might be tempted to see what stars is like now. 25nl European pros probably can't play there now as they can't get supernova so it might, MIGHT be a similar level to ipoker with more games. That being said rb at ipoker probably makes up for it and some.

Hey guys I have chilled out a bit since Friday! Its really hard work on a Friday night on SJ if you run bad as there is so many whales just throwing chips about! You either lose big or win big but more often we should be winning big!

Rather than dwell on not running great I decided to take a break on Saturday and instead do some study! I have very limited time for poker so it tends to be studying that really suffers! To the point where it has been pretty much non existent this year and very poor my whole poker 'career'! So I decided to download the almighty 'Snowie' on Saturday to give it a whirl! I also went through my PT4 stats etc!

I played a couple of thousand hands against Snowie just to try it out and found it really interesting! Didn't come out with any major leaks or anything but it just forces you to think more about spots! Also imported some hands and again nothing major but there are a few things which snowie does differently to me which is interesting to go through!

Scondly when I went through my PT4 stats two areas seemed to stick out like a sore thumb!

1) I am losing far too much from the blinds (BB stat was -70bb/100 or something)! Only 15k hands so could be skewed a bit but still defo shows something isn't right! I was quite surprised as this has been highlighted before so I have worked on it but it is obv still an issue! So I watched a couple of Weazels videos on it and have a few ideas to work on!

2) I am apparently giving up far too much on the flop and turn! I was very surprised at this as I feel I am pretty aggressive but apparently not! I feel this may be linked to point 1 as I may be defending my blinds more loosely but then not playing flop and turn correctly! So again I have watched some vids etc to try and get things to work on and improve!

it does all seem to tie in as my redline has always been real bad and it is more than likely caused by the two issues above! So I think if I can improve these my win rate should increase significantly! When I get another 10k hands or so I am going to post my stats in weazels thread for further review!

I did post with some stats from last year but I only currently have 15k hands in my current 20nl stint hence waiting to post!

I tried to use the recording software you sent over the weekend but it wouldn't work for me! Was just saying 'launch failed' when I was clicking to launch the recorder.............

Hi, when I went to use the recording software I didn't have to click it to launch it, it opened automatically. I'll assume you checked the instructions but just give @Jon-PokerVIP a nudge if you still have trouble, he'll help out if it's possible.

As to your game, I can't help much I'm afraid but it does sound like if you're defending more and still not benefiting from it, your postflop game and hand reading may need a tweak or three. Although you seem to have alluded to that in your post anyway.

Hmmm sounds like an odd problem and one I have never heard of before. For me i downloaded the software or can just use in browser.

Yes I logged in fine and then did the download but then it just would not start! Not sure if it might be my anti virus blocking a pop up or something! Ill have another go and post up some screen shots if not!
