Great too see you here RegiTime!.. I've seen some of you stuff on Youtube and also seen that you joined Grinderschool not too long ago ( I too float around Grinderschool and PokerVIP as my main sites).

I'm glad you're doing a thread like this. I'll be fun to see you start and grow your twitch channel and move your game back up. Will you be mentioning anything about your poker students in this thread? Or is all that stuff confidential? I'd be nice to have a bit of everything here (maybe on twitch as well)

Wish ya luck and good faith on your journey!

I'll be talking about everything in this thread.

I picked up two pieces of work today coaching wise. I sold three sessions to a new player and sold three sessions to a returning player. I currently have 25 players in my student study group, although some are quite inactive these days as I have taken them as far as I can but they're good for the group, so I have kept them in.

About to go live now come and join me and get active in the chatroom

The challenge never really got off the ground and I have now changed it.

I didn't know when I started the challenge that Sky were running a fortnight of rake races, which has ruined the fabric of the games as the games are just saturated with regs trying to play as many tables as possible.

The challenge to build the twitch channel remains in place but I want it to be a force for good in the world in my own small way.

I am going to try and use to to raise money for different charities on a monthly basis. I'm going to be spamming the donation button hard and hope that people buy into what I'm trying to achieve and make some small donations. Lots of small donations soon add up and if I could start raising $100+ each month, it would be awesome.

I want to monetise twitch but not for my own gain. Anything I make from donations, or in future maybe subscriptions will all go directly to charity and I will open my paypal to trusted stream regulars once per month if required to prove that all donations are reaching the intended targets.

So, the £200 - £1000 goal is over but I now have a much nicer goal to aim for. Build the stream, do some good in the world whilst doing it. What's not to like about that?

This months charity is AgeUk

Thats last hand played between us and I`ll add my tought process in the hand.

When he check/raised he is ahead of me on the flop, I`m 99% sure. I`m certain he wouldn`t raise with total air on that heavy drawy board so I`m most likely against sets or 2 pairs ( J10 most likely ).
Even if he is raising draws, like KQ of diamonds - he have more outs.
Also, I would be in problem if I hit straight with K or 9 of diamonds, even if I hit non-diamond 9 - I might be against QK.
My nutish potential for this hand are basically 3 outs so I decided to not risk another 13 big blinds. Maybe If i had ace of diamonds ( nut flush draw blocker and runner runner diamond possibility ) I would call or if we are a bit deeper ( 150 BB`s at least ).

Maybe I made a bit tight fold, but I think that I dodged lots of uncomfortable spots on turn and river.
What do you think @Jon-PokerVIP ?

@RegiTime, would be nice if you can find this hand and let me know your hand Smile

I don't remember playing $10nl apart from an occasional video I have been making and don't remember that hand.

You made a good fold though Smile

My own little website went live today.

It's not finished, there are student graphs to add and some more testimonials along with a couple of grammatical errors to edit but I'm pleased to finally get it live after weeks of waiting for my friend (who made it for me) to get internet again after moving house.

www.regitimepoker.com

It's nothing out of the ordinary but it helps me develop my brand and hopefully gives me a slightly more professional look to prospective students.

Congratz for the website! I'll be watching your videos!

Today, I have made the decision to return to playing full ring poker.

I have hit a ceiling at $50nl 6 max, the games at $100nl or higher are just rock solid and very hard to beat for anything resembling a decent winrate.

I think playing full ring, particularly away from Pokerstars (I'll be starting out at 888) there is more scope for moving up as the regs aren't as good and there is slightly more room at the tables for weaker players (on 888 at least - not sure if that holds true at other sites/networks).

I have been battling with 6 max for too long now and it is a constant struggle to motivate myself to log in and grind it out in games where the reg:fish ratio is at best 10:1 and in worst cases maybe 15:1.

All of my best poker results have come at full ring, be that when I have produced my best cash results, or in an MTT environment, most of which are played out at full ring tables until the latter stages.

IMO, speed poker is really killing the games. Regs are able to multiply themselves to a point where they can play 2k hph if they so desire and just obliterate the recreational players that dip their toes into the games. This isn't the case in full ring poker, as yes, there are still plenty of regulars but they fight less with each other than 6 max regs and focus more on playing solid poker rather than trying to outplay the whole table at every opportunity, which just makes the game easier to read, helps with confidence and motivation (at least for me).

I'm not sure what that leaves my twitch channel, as I feel many people won't be too interested in watching full ring games, particularly with tables overlapping etc..

However, playing and profiting is my main focus and if that means twitch has to go on the backburner, then that's just how it will have to be.

I look forward to posting some cool graphs in the coming months because that's what usually happens when I get the full ring grind going Smile

Wow that is one hell of a change up and not heard of anyone doing this for 5+ years. Where do full ring games actually run? I'd actually prefer to watch this on twitch as it's different and pretty fascinating to me.

Im a micro full ring player & will look forward to following your journey Smile

I remember playing the FR games on BV and they were full of fish. But I had 4-6 tables on 6-max open and 1 or 2 FR at the side, as they didn't need much concentration!
